RSLSA Legal Researcher Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority (RSLSA) has announced 3 vacancies for the Legal Researcher post on a contract basis for a term up to 2 years, initially for six months subject to performance satisfaction. The notified pay for the post is Rs. 50,000 per month, and candidates must possess a fresh law graduate or post graduate in law from a recognized University/College/Institution. Who Can Apply

Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions regarding qualification, age limit, and other criteria specified by RSLSA:

• Qualification: A candidate must be a fresh law graduate or post graduate in law from a recognized University/College/Institution established by law in India. Candidates appearing for their final semester may also apply, but they must submit their final pass out result before the final process of selection (including scrutiny or interview).
• Age Limit: Maximum age of the candidate as on 1st January of year 2027 must not be more than 33 years.
• Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Character & Integrity: The candidate must be a person of integrity, honesty, and good moral character, and must submit certificates from two responsible persons (not in blood relations) with mobile numbers at the time of interview.
• Computer & Typing Knowledge: The candidate must have working knowledge of computers with typing skills in Hindi and/or English.

Pay and Tenure

Selected candidates will receive a fixed honorarium of Rs. 50,000/- per month without any dearness allowance or other allowances/perquisites. Proportionate reduction of honorarium will be made for unauthorized absence or absence beyond the permissible period of leave. The engagement is for a term up to 2 years, initially made for six months, subject to performance satisfaction and extension possibilities.

RSLSA Legal Researcher Job Description

The duties of the Legal Researcher include the following tasks under the direct control of the Member Secretary and other officers of RSLSA:

• To prepare various reports, schemes, and monitor progress of ongoing activities.
• To analyze, evaluate, and research on various subjects of daily use, preparation of study material for seminars, workshops, conferences, and trainings.
• To carry out research work on law and legal issues including various judgments of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Hon’ble High Courts, and other forums.
• To assist in outreach and awareness activities.
• To assist in drafting agenda, meeting notes, concept notes, and reports on schemes and programmes.
• To supervise and conduct field surveys and prepare analytical reports with analysis of data.
• To work with the office of the Hon’ble Executive Chairman, RSLSA and provide day-to-day activities as per directions.
• To do such academic, administrative, research, and other work as directed by RSLSA.

4. Furnish a checklist along with the application form mentioning details of certificates and testimonials enclosed.
5. Pack the application in an envelope and clearly mark it with “APPLICATION FOR THE LEGAL RESEARCHER”. Note that every envelope must contain only one application form.
6. Selection and Interview

Applications will be scrutinized under the directions of the Member Secretary, RSLSA. The selection shall be made by a Selection Committee constituted by the Hon’ble Executive Chairman, RSLSA. If required, shortlisting of applications may be done on the basis of research achievements, academic career, computer skills, or any other criteria approved by the Hon’ble Executive Chairman. The Selection Committee will assess applicant suitability through screening and/or interviewing, considering research and academic record, language communication, and computer skills.
