IIT Guwahati Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), Research and Development Section has announced 1 vacancy for the SRF(Direct) post on a project-based engagement with an appointment duration of 11 months. The required qualification for the post is JRF(GATE) plus 2 years of research experience in the area for the development of deep learning algorithms for real-time computer vision applications. The notified pay is Rs. 51,650.00. Who Can Apply

Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications as per JRF(GATE) along with 2 years of research experience in the area for the development of deep learning algorithms for real-time computer vision applications.

*JRF(GATE) Qualifications are: Post Graduate degree in basic science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

• Scholars selected through National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
• The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DoS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IISCR etc.

Pay and Tenure

The recommended pay is Rs. 42,000.00 per month, with House Rent Allowance (HRA) of Rs. 8,400.00 and Medical allowance of Rs. 1,250.00, bringing the total amount to Rs. 51,650.00 per month. The appointment duration is 11 months.
