RSLSA Legal Researcher Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority (RSLSA) has announced recruitment for 3 Legal Researcher vacancies on a contract basis for an initial term of six months, extendable up to 2 years under the Scheme for Engaging Legal Researcher by RSLSA. Eligible candidates must be a fresh law graduate or post graduate in law and have a maximum age of not more than 33 years as on 1st January of year 2027. The pay for the post is Rs. 50,000 per month. Who Can Apply

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and age criteria to be eligible for the Legal Researcher position.

• Educational Qualification: A candidate must be a fresh law graduate or post graduate in law from a University/College/Institution established by law in India. Candidates appearing for the final semester may also apply, but they must submit their final pass out result before the final process of selection including scrutiny or interview.
• Additional Requirements: Must have research aptitude with good knowledge of research tools, and working knowledge of computer with typing skills.
• Age Limit: Maximum age of the candidate as on 1st January of year 2027 must not be more than 33 years.
• Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Character Requirement: Candidate must be a person of integrity, honesty, and good moral character, certified by two responsible persons who are not in blood relations.

Pay and Tenure

Legal Researchers receive a fixed honorarium of Rs. 50,000/- per month without any dearness or other allowance/perquisite. The engagement is for a term up to 2 years, with initial engagement made for six months subject to satisfactory performance. Proportionate reduction of honorarium applies for unauthorized absence or absence beyond permissible leave.

RSLSA Legal Researcher Job Description

Without adversely affecting the generality of work, the Legal Researcher performs the following duties under the direct control of the Member Secretary and other officers of RSLSA:

• To prepare various reports, schemes, and monitor progress of ongoing activities.
• To analyze, evaluate, and research on various subjects of daily use, preparation of study material for seminars, workshops, conferences, and trainings.
• To carry out research work on law and legal issues including various judgments of Hon’ble Supreme Court, Hon’ble High Courts, and other forums.
• To assist in outreach and awareness activities.
• To assist in drafting agenda, meeting notes, concept notes, and reports on schemes and programmes.
• To supervise and conduct field surveys and prepare analytical reports with analysis of data.
• To work with the office of Hon’ble Executive Chairman, RSLSA and provide day-to-day activities as per directions.
• To do academic, administrative, research, and other work directed by the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority.

Selection and Interview

Applications are scrutinized under the direction of the Member Secretary, RSLSA. The selection is made by a Selection Committee constituted by the Hon’ble Executive Chairman, Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority. Shortlisting of applications may be done based on research achievements, academic career, computer skills, or other criteria. The Selection Committee assesses suitability through screening and/or interviewing candidates, considering research and academic record, language communication, and computer skills.
