Requirements for All Posts

• Working knowledge of Punjabi
• Punjab Domicile
• Proficiency in computers
• Medically fit

DGM (IT)

• Experienced retired Defence Services officer of the rank of Col/Lt Col/Maj or equivalent, with good knowledge of computers as OIC/Administrator
• Master Degree in Computer Science, IT, Info Systems or Software Engineer
• Experience: 5-10 years
• Vendor certification like SAP Certified Application Associate, Oracle / ERP Certification, Scrum Master / Agile Certifications
• Punjabi proficiency – 10 certificate and Punjab domicile mandatory

Preferred: candidates from premier institutes like IIT, IIIT or NIT, and ESM candidates.

Technical skills listed in the notice:

• Hands-on experience with major ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics 365, Ramco etc.
• Proficiency in database management and query languages like SQL
• Knowledge of coding / scripting languages (Java, Python, XML)
• Experience connecting ERP modules with their parts applications, AIPS, cloud infrastructure etc.
• Ability to run system diagnostics, troubleshoot errors, and handle data migration, backup etc.
• Framework knowledge of Project Management
• Data Centre / Network Administrator
• Network Security and Cyber Security aspects
• Tableau / data visualisation / report generation tools
• Suggesting AI tools to be incorporated in the ERP / software used

DGM (Project & Ventures)

• Experienced retired Commissioned Officer of the Defence Services of the rank of Lt Col/Maj or equivalent, with good knowledge of computers
• Post Graduate
• Minimum 5 – 10 years of leadership experience
• Fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi
• Punjab Domicile and Punjabi certificate 10th mandatory

Preferred: MBA or equivalent. A resident of Punjab/Chandigarh with an understanding of the Punjab industrial ecosystem is highly desirable.

DGM (Security)

• Col/Lt Col/Maj who should have commanded a unit/sub unit/est or equivalent level

Duties and Reporting

DGM (IT)

The officer will be the Chief Technology Officer of PESCO and overall in charge of its IT setup, covering existing software, legacy database, cyber security, network and ERP implementation. The role includes:

• Digital transformation of PESCO from manual to a fully automated, paperless, ERP-based system
• Acting as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between PESCO and the Software Development Agency
• Reporting directly to the Managing Director, PESCO and the General Manager (Admin)

DGM (Project & Ventures)

This strategic leadership position links the workforce of ex-servicemen and dependents with Punjab’s industries. The officer acts as primary liaison between PESCO and the private sector, industrial bodies and skill-building agencies, and reports to the Managing Director. The responsibilities are:

• Regular market research to identify emerging sectors in Punjab/Chandigarh that can absorb ESM manpower
• Scouting government and private tenders where PESCO can provide specialised manpower or security services
• Skill gap analysis and liaison
• Visiting industrial hubs to understand technical and soft skill requirements
• Connecting with Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and private skilling agencies to design customised bridge courses for retiring ESM/Dependents
• Ensuring military training is mapped to civilian job roles
• Identifying small-scale venture opportunities for ESM
• Any other responsibility given by the Management

Selection Process

Service Conditions

• All three appointments are contractual.
• DGM (IT): the initial contract is for one year, extendable on an annual basis at the discretion of the Management.
• DGM (Project & Ventures): the job requires regular travel across Punjab and neighbouring states.
