Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years of age as on 01/10/2026. Candidates born between 02.10.1997 and 01.10.2008 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Selected candidates for the Lower Division Clerk post will receive a pay scale of ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Level-2, 7th CPC).

1. Applicant must be citizens of India.
2. The applicants are required to go through the detailed notification carefully and decide themselves about their eligibility for this recruitment before applying online.
3. Application fee shall be paid by online mode only. Candidates have to pay *application fee plus transaction fee as applicable.
4. Applicants must compulsorily fill-up all relevant fields of the online application.
5. Scan the latest photograph of the candidate and upload the same in the space provided in the online application [scanned image shall be less than 200 kB in *.JPG format only].
6. Candidate shall make his/her signature on a white paper, scan the same and upload it in the space provided in the online application [scanned image shall be less than 50 kB in *.JPG format only]. The signature must be signed only by the candidate, full signature (initials not sufficient, CAPITAL LETTERS not permitted).
7. Submit the online application via www.cmd.kerala.gov.in.

Documents Required

• Candidates must upload either the original certificate or the provisional certificate issued by a competent authority when submitting their educational qualification certificates. Uploading mark sheets, consolidated mark sheets, or statements instead of certificates will not be accepted.
• Candidates must upload No Objection Certificate, in case already employed in Government/ Government undertakings.
• Candidates seeking reservation benefits available for EWS/ ESM must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice and possess certificates in the prescribed format.
• Serving Defence Personnel Certificate as per the prescribed format attached (Annexure- I), if applicable (for personnel whose Specific Period of Engagement (SPE) is to be completed on or before 31.01.2027).
• For Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category candidates must upload: (1) Undertaking as per the prescribed format attached (Annexure- II) & (2) Discharge Certificate / PPO, if discharged from the Armed Forces.
• For EWS category upload the certificate in the prescribed format attached (Annexure – III) issued by authorized officers (District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/Additional’ Deputy Commissioner/ 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate / Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner, Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate, Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar, or Sub-Divisional Officer).
• In the case of latest experience, applicants may upload an AFFIDAVIT with details of employer, designation, period, nature of job, tasks and responsibilities (applicable only for latest experience).

Selection Process

CMD/IHMCT reserves the right to determine the selection process based on requirements. The selection process may include application screening, criteria-based screening, a written test and skill test/proficiency test. Only shortlisted candidates will receive intimations via email, SMS, or phone call regarding the selection process.
