NIT Patna Project Associate/JRF Eligibility 2026

Nationality: Indian nationals only.

Qualification: M. Sc. in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Medicinal Chemistry and other similar domains.

Qualifying examination: Selection is based on the National Eligibility Test (NET) CSIR/UGC, including LS/JRF, or GATE. The application form also asks for the branch, year, percentile (with score) and All India Rank of the examination you passed.

Experience: Experience certificates are to be submitted if you have any. The form has space for teaching, research or industrial experience.

Job Description and Service Conditions

• Work: The PA/JRF will work on the broader areas of research and development relating to the project.
• Duration: One year. The position will be upgraded based on satisfactory performance.
• Ph.D.: The PA/JRF may be allowed to join the Ph.D. programme, subject to the eligibility criteria of NIT Patna, Bihar, India.
• Place of work: Department of Chemical Science and Technology, NIT Patna.
• Travel: No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
