Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India; For absorption: officers holding analogous posts or Dy. Chief Accounts Officer and equivalent posts in respective discipline of Finance Deptt. in the scale of pay of Rs.13000-18250 with 3 years regular service in the grade Rs.13000-18250 in a Major Port Trust; Or Dy. Chief Accounts Officer and equivalent posts in respective discipline of Finance Deptt. with 2 years regular service in the grade and a combined regular service of 7 years in the scales of pay of Rs.10750-16750 and Rs.13000-18250 in a Major Port Trust; Overall grading in the APARs not below Very Good
• Experience: Twelve years experience in executive cadre in the field of Finance, Accounting in an industrial/commercial/Govt. Undertaking (prescribed for direct recruitment; not applicable in case of absorption/deputation)
• Age limit: Maximum 42 years (as on 1 January 2027)

• Undertaking not to withdraw candidature if selected; vigilance report in Annexure III format
• Two passport size photographs; details of any major or minor penalty in the last 10 years

How to Apply for MbPA Recruitment 2026 Online

1. Apply through the Online Application Portal (OAP) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways at http://onlinevacancy.shipmin.nic.in from 4.11.2026 to 3.12.2026.
2. No application submitted other than through OAP will be accepted.
3. Submit the hard copy of the application form uploaded in OAP with requisite documents to your administrative Port.
4. The administrative Port forwards it to MbPA superscribing ‘Application for the post of Sr. Deputy Chief Accounts Officer in Mumbai Port Authority’ on or before 18.12.2026.

• Advance copy will not be considered if the application does not come through proper channel within 15 days of the last date
• Applications received after 18.12.2026 will not be considered
