Posts and Eligibility

There is one post of Young Professional-II (YP-II), account head No. 560139/310, with the place of work at the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, College of Agriculture, Dharwad. The pay is Rs. 42,000 per month, consolidated. The notice prints the following qualification:

1. M.Sc. Agri in Agronomy or Plant Pathology with minimum marks of 60% from a recognised SAU.
2. Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications as evidenced by PG research is essential.

If candidates with both are not available, candidates with only the qualification in item 1 will be considered. As per Government rules, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates in this temporary appointment. Candidates should check the official notification for the full eligibility of the post.

• Two attested copies of those documents, with passport-size photographs attached.

• Copies of testimonials from S.S.L.C. onwards, and certificates for NCC/NSS, experience, ICAR JRF/SRF exam passed and awards, where the proforma asks for them.

The proforma asks for the post applied for, name in block letters, address for correspondence, cell or phone number, date of birth, category (SC/ST/GM), marks or grade points from S.S.L.C. to Ph.D. and PDF/P.G. Diploma, training courses of 21 days and above, experience in months, publications (international, national and university level), ICAR JRF/SRF and awards, with a recent photograph and the candidate’s signature.

What Happens on the Day

Candidates appear in person for the interview with the filled application and documents at 11.00 AM on 17 November 2026. Selection is by this interview; the notice does not mention a written test. Candidates attend at their own expense.

Important Instructions

• The application must not be sent in advance under any circumstances.
• The appointment is temporary, till 31.03.2027 or till the end of the project or until the Government/DBT clarification on temporary appointment in the project is received, whichever is earlier.
• Service rendered in the University cannot be claimed for a permanent post.
• The appointment can be terminated at any time without assigning any reason, and the University is not bound by any claim for direct appointment.
