KVS Ambala Cantt Recruitment 2026 Overview

Important Dates

Candidates must complete registration by 11:00 AM on the interview date.

KVS Ambala Cantt Posts 2026

The notification does not specify the number of vacancies. The interview is being conducted to prepare a contractual panel according to the requirements of the participating schools.

Educational Qualification

PGT Physics

• Master’s degree in Physics or a relevant specialisation with at least 50% marks.
• The candidate should have studied the relevant subject at graduation level.
• B.Ed., integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or an eligible integrated degree containing a B.Ed. component with the prescribed marks.

PGT Computer Science

• M.Sc. in Computer Science or IT, or MCA, with at least 50% marks; or
• M.E. or M.Tech. in Computer Science or IT with at least 50% marks.
• B.Ed., integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or an eligible integrated degree containing a B.Ed. component with at least 50% marks.

TGT Mathematics

• Relevant bachelor’s, honours or integrated degree with the prescribed subject combination and at least 50% marks.
• B.Ed., integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or an eligible Special Education qualification.
• CTET Paper II qualification is mandatory.
• Mathematics must have been studied as a main or elective subject for at least three years or six semesters.
• Physics and one of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science or Statistics must also have been studied for the prescribed duration.

TGT Sanskrit

• Relevant bachelor’s, honours, postgraduate or integrated degree with the prescribed minimum marks.
• B.Ed., integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or an eligible Special Education qualification.
• CTET Paper II qualification is mandatory.
• Sanskrit must have been studied as a main or elective subject for at least three years or six semesters during graduation.

TGT Science

• Relevant bachelor’s, honours, postgraduate or integrated degree with the prescribed science subject combination.
• B.Ed., integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or an eligible Special Education qualification.
• CTET Paper II qualification is mandatory.
• The candidate must have studied the required combination of Biology, Life Science, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.

Special Educator

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.
• B.Ed. in Special Education or another eligible general B.Ed. and Special Education diploma or certificate combination.
• CTET at the elementary stage.
• Valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India and a valid CRR number.

ATL Instructor

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering with at least 50% marks.
• B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised institution with at least 50% marks.
• Proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English.
• Knowledge of computer applications.

Sports Teacher/Coach

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks.
• Representation in sports at the state or national level.

Vocational Teacher/Instructor

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering with at least 50% marks.
• B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised institution with at least 50% marks.
• Proficiency in Hindi and English teaching and knowledge of computer applications.

Self-Defence Instructor for Girls

The candidate must be a certified instructor in Karate, Taekwondo or Judo from a recognised state-level or national federation.

Yoga Teacher

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
• One-year training in Yoga from a recognised institution.

Counselor

• BA or B.Sc. in Psychology.
• Certificate or diploma in Counseling.

Experience in providing career or educational counseling in schools, experience in a placement bureau or registration as a Vocational Counselor with the Rehabilitation Council of India is desirable.

Monthly Honorarium

Remuneration for the remaining positions will be governed by the applicable Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan contractual engagement rules.

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous teaching or school work experience
• Knowledge of computer applications
• Working knowledge of English and Hindi or another Indian language
• Relevant practical experience for Instructor posts

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through a walk-in interview. The interview will be used to prepare a panel for part-time contractual engagement at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalayas No. 1, 2, 3 and 4, Ambala Cantt.

Inclusion in the panel does not automatically guarantee an appointment. Engagement will depend on the school’s requirements during the 2026-27 academic session.

• Original educational qualification certificates
• CTET certificate for applicable TGT and Special Educator posts
• RCI registration and CRR details for the Special Educator post
• Experience certificates, where applicable

• Recent passport-size photographs
• Valid photo identity proof

2. Fill in the application form completely.
3. Prepare self-attested copies of all applicable certificates.
