National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has invited applications for 2 posts in 2 roles under Advt No. NIOS/RC/05/2026. The posts include Joint Director (Capacity Building Cell), Joint Director (Media). Applications are accepted online until 9 December 2026.

Joint Director (Capacity Building Cell) (1 post)

Qualification required: Second Class Master’s Degree in any Subject from a recognized university; Officers holding analogous post with Rs.8700/- GP or five years experience in the scale of Level-12 of the Pay Matrix (78800-209200) in Central/State Govt. or Central/State Govt. Autonomous organization/University/Board dealing with Academic Administration, Planning, Preparation and Production of Self Learning Material/Text books in distance education and/or related areas; Experience of organizing training programmes, workshops, seminars, conferences in educational organizations; Working knowledge of Hindi and English. Experience required: Five years in the scale of Level-12 (or analogous post with Rs.8700/- GP) as printed. Age limit: Maximum 50 years. Pay: Level-13 (₹123100-215900).

Joint Director (Media) (1 post)

Qualification required: Master’s Degree preferably in Mass Communication; A Post Graduate Degree/Diploma from a recognized University/Institute in production of Radio Programmes/Films. Experience required: Five years in the scale of Level-12 of the Pay Matrix (78800-209200) or 10 years in the scale of Level-11 (67700-208700) or equivalent in planning and executing Media Production. Age limit: Below 47 years. Pay: Level-13 (₹123100-215900).

• NIOS may restrict the number of candidates called for interview through shortlisting on well-defined criteria

• Working candidates must bring No Objection/Cadre Clearance, with Vigilance Clearance and Integrity certified by the current employer, at the time of interview

• Gazette Notification/Government order equating pay scale, for applicants from State Govt./PSU/Autonomous Organization/Universities where pay scales are not identical to Central Government
• Attested translation of certificates in a language other than English or Hindi

How to Apply for NIOS Recruitment 2026 Online

1. Submit the application online only at www.nios.ac.in or www.recruitment.nios.ac.in.
2. Pay the application fee online through the prescribed link in the online application.
3. Upload copies of certificates for qualification, date of birth and experience, no objection certificate (if working), scanned signature and passport size photograph.
4. Take a print out of the successfully submitted online application.
5. Send the print out with all uploaded documents by Speed Post to the Deputy Director (Admn.), Recruitment Section, NIOS, within seven days of submission.
6. Write ‘Application for the post of ______’ on the envelope.
7. Apply on or before 9 December 2026.
