Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is recruiting for 1 temporary Research Associate-I vacancy. Eligible candidates can attend a walk-in interview on 13 November 2026, reporting at 11:30 AM at the Computer and Communication Sciences Division, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B. T. Road. Applicants must hold a PhD in Computer Science/ Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence. The advertised pay for the post is 58,000/- plus 30% HRA per month. The recruitment is for one Research Associate-I position on a purely temporary basis under the project “Al-Driven Multimodal Microvascular Digital Twins for Monitoring Progression of Chronic Kidney Disease” funded by ANRF, Government of India, in the Machine Intelligence Unit of the Institute.

Essential Qualification: PhD in Computer Science/ Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence, and good knowledge in Computer Programming (Python with Pytorch/C/C++/Java).

Desirable Qualification: Knowledge (or experience) in Medical Imaging and Video Processing using Machine Learning and Deep Learning; and publication(s) in the relevant field.

Age Limit: The age limit is 35 years as on the date of the walk-in-interview, with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/Women candidates.

Tenure of Appointment: One year from the date of joining the Institute, which may be extended (up to 5 years) later/terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidate.
