Essential Qualification and Experience

• Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree, or
• 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech, with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Minimum Marks

• From graduation onwards: minimum 60% or equivalent grade.
• Class 10th and 12th: 55% or equivalent grade.

Desirable Qualification and Experience

• Research experience in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computational Chemistry, Biophysics, or allied disciplines.
• Demonstrated expertise in molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, molecular docking, cheminformatics, virtual screening, molecular modelling, and computational analysis of protein-ligand interactions.
• Proficiency in relevant computational tools and platforms (for example GROMACS, AMBER, AutoDock, Schrödinger, RDKit) and programming languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with AI/ML approaches for drug discovery or molecular property prediction, which will be an added advantage.
• Evidence of relevant research expertise through peer-reviewed publications or demonstrated research outcomes.

Job Description

The Research Associate will contribute to computational research activities under the project. The key responsibilities are:

• Perform MD simulations, molecular docking, and computational studies of protein-ligand interactions.
• Undertake cheminformatics analysis, virtual screening, and structure-based identification and optimization of potential therapeutic molecules.
• Develop and implement computational workflows for molecular modelling, simulation, and analysis of biological systems.
• Integrate computational predictions with experimental findings to support hypothesis generation, compound prioritization, and validation.
• Collaborate with experimental and AI/ML research teams to support interdisciplinary research objectives.
• Analyze and interpret computational results, prepare scientific reports and manuscripts, and contribute to project deliverables.
