Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has notified 1 vacancy for the Dy. Chief Vigilance Officer (Cl.I) post on deputation, with the deputation normally for a period of 3 years and in any case not to exceed 5 years. The notified pay for the post is Rs. 60,000-1,80,000/-. Visakhapatnam Port Authority is inviting applications to fill one post of Dy. Chief Vigilance Officer (Cl.I) in the scale of pay of Rs. 60,000-1,80,000/- (pre-revised scale of pay of Rs. 24,900-50,500/-) on deputation basis in Visakhapatnam Port Authority.

Who Can Apply

• Deputation from officers of Major Port Authorities holding analogous posts or officers holding posts in the pay scale of Rs. 50000-160000/- (pre-revised scale Rs. 20600-46500 / 10750 – 16750) with 3 years regular Service in the grade in Major Port Authorities.
• Failing which from officers of the Central Govt./State Govt./PSUs/Autonomous Bodies with similar grade.
• The Maximum age for consideration shall be 56 years for deputation in terms of DoPT OM dated 05.02.2018 as on last date of receipt of application (23.11.2026).

Pay and Terms

While on deputation, the officer may, within one month from the date of his joining in Vigilance Department, Visakhapatnam Port Authority, may elect to draw either the pay in the scale of the post in VPA or his basic pay in the scale of pay of his parent organization/ department/ Ministry plus deputation thereon. Deputation allowance shall be admissible in accordance with the rules in force from time to time. The period of deputation will be 3 (three) years from date of joining in the post subject to curtailment / extension for not more than 5 (five) years.

1. Applications through proper channel shall be forwarded in the prescribed proforma enclosed as Annexure-II.
2. Duly superscribe on the envelop “Application for the post of Dy. Chief Vigilance Officer in Visakhapatnam Port Authority”.
3. Send the application so as to reach the office of the Secretary, Visakhapatnam Port Authority, 1st Floor, Administrative Office Building, Port area, Visakhapatnam-530 035 on or before 23.11.2026.
4. Enclose attested photocopies of all certificates and educational qualifications, present and past work experience in the respective post and pay scale.
5. Enclose attested photocopies of ACRs / APARs of the applicant for the last five years from 2021-22 to 2025-26 with a statement showing yearwise availability of ACRs/APARs and grading duly signed by HoD. Furnish “No Report Certificate” for the APARs not available.
6. Enclose No-objection Certificate of the respective Ports.
7. Enclose an undertaking of the applicant not to withdraw, if selected.
8. Enclose Administrative & Vigilance clearance of the concerned Port in the pro-forma prescribed by the Ministry (Annexure-III).
9. Enclose Certificate by Head of office of the Applicant as per the format (Annexure-IV).
10. Enclose two recent passport size photograph in a sealed envelope.
11. If any major or minor penalty imposed on the applicant during the last 10 years, the disciplinary case leading to such penalty alongwith necessary documents may be sent by the forwarding authority alongwith the application.

Selection Process

The selection is by merit for which overall grading in the APARs should not be below “Very Good”.

Important Instructions

• Application received through proper channel within the due date along with above mentioned all requirements only be considered for the said post. Incomplete and application without enclosures will not be considered.
• The officer withdrawing his candidature after he got selected shall be liable for debarment from future selection to any posts in this Port Authority for a period of two (2) years.
• Visakhapatnam Port Authority reserves the right to make any changes if need arises, without assigning any reason thereof.
• Decision of the Appointing Authority would be final, with regard to all matters connected with the recruitment.
