Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: if the number of applications received is high, a Selection Committee shortlists candidates.

The committee shortlists on qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Service Conditions

• The tenure of the post is 3 years, with an initial appointment for 6 months and continuance upon satisfactory performance.
• The appointment is on contract and purely temporary. It will terminate automatically on closure of the research project, without any further notice or compensation.
• Appointment is governed by the terms and conditions laid down by the funding agency for the specific project and post.
• The appointed candidate has no right to claim appointment or absorption into the job supported by the funding agency or IISER Thiruvananthapuram, either during the project or after its closure.
• Selected candidates are required to join duty at the earliest on receipt of the offer letter.
