• Five years’ experience in Public Health for Bachelor’s degree in Medical or allied Sciences / Masters in Social Science / Psychology / Demography / Statistics / Population Sciences including a minimum 2 years of experience in HIV/AIDS sector.
• Work experience in HIV / AIDS sector, especially in Programme Management at National / State level, should be given more weightage in the experience section than other public health experience.

How experience is counted:

• Experience is calculated after obtaining the required essential qualification, up to the first date of online application.
• Experience gained while pursuing the course will not be counted.
• Ph.D/ M.Phil will not be included in the experience period (wherever applicable).
• The Experience Certificate must come from the appointing authority and mention designation, date of joining, tenure, date of resignation/retirement (if applicable) and nature of activities. An offer or joining letter will not be considered.
• Experience certificates not fulfilling these criteria will be summarily rejected.

Age limit: Maximum 50 years as on the closing date of receipt of application. The notice does not mention any age relaxation.

Other conditions:

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and must have knowledge of local languages.
