CSIR National Botanical Research Institute (CSIR-NBRI) has released the official Project Associate I, Project Associate II, and Project Assistant II Recruitment 2026 notification (Advt. No. 09/Project/2026) for 7 vacancies. Eligible candidates aged up to 35 years with qualifications including M.Sc. in relevant subjects such as Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or related fields, or B.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, or Biological Sciences, can attend the walk-in interview on 18-09-2026. Selected candidates will be appointed on a project-based basis with a monthly salary of Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- plus HRA.

CSIR NBRI Recruitment 2026 – Vacancy Details

A total of 7 vacancies are available – 4 for Project Associate I (PAT I), 2 for Project Associate II (PAT II), and 1 for Project Assistant II.

CSIR NBRI Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

• Project Associate I (PAT I): M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy/ Horticulture / Soil Science / Agricultural Chemistry or M.Sc. in Botany / Chemistry / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Bioinformatics / Nanotechnology.
• Project Associate II (PAT II): M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy/ Horticulture / Soil Science / Agricultural Chemistry or M.Sc. in Botany / Chemistry / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Nanotechnology. And 02 Year Experience in Research and development in industrial and academic institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
• Project Assistant II: B.Sc. in Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry; or B.Sc. in Biological sciences (ZBC or others).

CSIR NBRI Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit

• Project Associate I (PAT I): Maximum age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women, 03 years for OBC.
• Project Associate II (PAT II): Maximum age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women, 03 years for OBC.
• Project Assistant II: Maximum age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women, 03 years for OBC.

CSIR NBRI Recruitment 2026 – Salary / Stipend

• Project Associate I (PAT I): (a) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like their DBT/DST or equivalent and/or Agencies/Institutions. (b) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.
• Project Associate II (PAT II): (a) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like their DBT/DST or equivalent and/or Agencies/Institutions. (b) Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.
• Project Assistant II: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA. Increment of 15% after 03 Years of experience in the same project.
