BITS Pilani Goa Campus has invited applications for one Research Fellow position for the DRDO-funded project “Development a Library of AI/ML ip cores” under the supervision of Dr. Vipin Kizheppatt. The position is exclusively for PhD aspirants. Eligible candidates can apply through the prescribed online form by 25 September 2026.

The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA, depending on the year of PhD and performance. The place of work is BITS Pilani, Goa Campus, Goa.

BITS Pilani Research Fellow Eligibility Criteria

The Research Fellow position is applicable only to PhD aspirants. Candidates should also check and satisfy the eligibility criteria and qualification process prescribed for the BITS Pilani PhD programme.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have a Post Graduate or Graduate degree in any of the following disciplines, or an equivalent discipline, from a recognized university:

• Electronics
• Communication
• Instrumentation
• Computer Science
• EEE
• Equivalent discipline

Desirable Qualification

• Strong background in digital design and hardware description language.
• Knowledge of FPGA-based system design will be an added advantage.

Scope of Work

The project aims to develop a library of AI/ML algorithm IP cores in hardware.

BITS Pilani Research Fellow Fellowship

The fellowship ranges from Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA. The amount will depend on the candidate’s year of PhD and performance.

Duration

The duration of the Research Fellow position will be as per BITS Pilani norms.

Place of Work

The selected candidate will work at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus, Goa.

Preliminary shortlisting will be based on the candidate’s resume and a telephonic/audio-visual interview within a week of the last date of application.

Candidates shortlisted for the final interview will be informed through email. No TA/DA will be provided in case of a personal interview.
