Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has released advertisement number 383/HR/EW& A/2026-27 for 14 temporary Project Engineer – I vacancies in Bengaluru. Eligible candidates holding a B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering in Electronics / Computer Science can apply online from 9 October 2026 to 23 October 2026. The engagement is initially for 3 years, extendable up to 4 years, with a pay of Rs. 50,000 per month. The selection process consists of a Written Test for shortlisted candidates followed by an Interview for those who qualify in the Written Test.

Experience

Relevant post-qualification industry experience as on 01.10.2026 should be more than two years. Teaching/Academic/Research work, banking and financial institutions, non-profit organizations, and internship placements which are part of academic curriculum will not be considered as experience.

The upper age limit as on 01.10.2026 is 32 years for General & EWS category candidates.

BEL Project Engineer-I Salary

In addition to the remuneration indicated above, a consolidated amount of Rs. 12,000/- per year will be paid towards expenses like insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc. Project Engineers who complete an overall tenure of 4 years will be entitled to a Retention Bonus of Rs. 25,000/- for every completed year (payable at the end of 4 years i.e., Rs. 1,00,000/-). Gratuity is admissible as per BEL Employees Gratuity Scheme rules.

BEL Project Engineer-I Application Fee

The application fee must be remitted through SBI Collect (online mode) or by approaching an SBI branch. Fee once paid will not be refunded.

BEL Project Engineer-I Selection Process

Selection will be through a Written Test for shortlisted candidates, followed by an Interview for those who qualify in the Written Test. 85% marks will be allotted for the written test and 15% marks for the interview. Candidates who pass the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:5 in order of merit in each role in each category.

2. Fill in the necessary fields through the online format.
3. Submit the application form by clicking submit.
4. Print the application form duly filled in all aspects.
5. Remit the application fee of Rs. 400/- plus 18% GST through SBI Collect using the specified payment category and note the SBI Collect reference number.
6. Enter the SBI Collect reference number in the application form where required.
7. Carry the printout of the filled application form with 2 recent passport-size colour photographs and relevant mandatory documents to the selection centre on the day of selections.

• Intimation Letter (if currently working as Trainee Engineer in BEL)

BEL Project Engineer-I Important Instructions

• Project Engineers are appointed initially for a period of three years, extendable up to a maximum of one more year (maximum tenure of 4 years).
• Lateral application for the same post (e.g., existing Project Engineer applying for Project Engineer) is not permitted and will be summarily rejected.
• Candidates working in PSUs/Govt. organizations must submit a No Objection Certificate at the time of application or interview.
• Selected candidates are required to obtain a Medical Insurance cover for Rs. 2 lakhs per annum and Life Cover Insurance for Rs. 5 lakhs per annum at the time of joining.
• Applications received in any format other than online will not be considered.
• No cheque, DD, or cash will be accepted towards application fee payment.
