1. Faculty

Faculty Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a graduate or postgraduate qualification in any discipline, including Science, Commerce or Arts.

Preference may be given to candidates possessing any of the following qualifications:

• Master of Social Work
• MA in Rural Development
• MA in Sociology
• MA in Psychology
• BSc in Veterinary Science
• BSc in Horticulture
• BSc in Agriculture
• BSc in Agricultural Marketing
• BA with BEd

Faculty Skills

• Flair for teaching
• Sound computer knowledge
• Excellent communication skills in the local language
• Local-language typing skills
• Fluency in English and Hindi will be an added advantage
• Hindi or English typing skills will be an added advantage
• Previous experience as Faculty will be preferred

Faculty Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct sessions on entrepreneurship, motivation, personality development and business management.
• Conduct business games and guide trainees.
• Coordinate the institute’s training programmes.
• Conduct Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes and other pre-training activities.
• Generate applications and assist with candidate selection.
• Assist the Director in designing the Annual Action Plan and training programmes.
• Arrange training materials, logistics and Guest Faculty.
• Conduct post-training follow-up meetings and visits.
• Provide counselling, credit linkage and project-report preparation support.
• Prepare success stories and send at least two stories every month to the controlling office or Ministry of Rural Development.
• Prepare post-programme, monthly and periodical reports.
• Guide the Office Assistant in maintaining the Day Book, General Ledger and other registers.
• Develop new training programmes based on emerging business opportunities.
• Prepare case studies and training materials.
• Maintain coordination with external agencies.
• Assist the Director with internal administration and control.
• Organise functions, events and institute meetings.
• Prepare press releases and reports on institute activities.
• Supervise the work of the Assistant, Attender and Watchman-cum-Gardener.
• Monitor the performance of Guest Faculty.
• Maintain the institute’s inventory and library books.
• Oversee the maintenance of classrooms, kitchen, dining area, dormitory and other campus facilities.
• Maintain discipline and ensure that regular institute activities are conducted.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Director.

2. Financial Literacy Counsellor

FLC Experience Requirements

Candidates must satisfy one of the following experience conditions:

• Former bank employee with at least five years of experience in a nationalised bank, Regional Rural Bank or private bank; or
• At least five years of experience in banking, a related sector, NBFC or financial institution; or
• Former Business Correspondent, BC or BF with at least five years of experience; or
• Former RSETI Director or Faculty with at least three years of experience.

Financial Literacy Counsellor Responsibilities

• Provide financial counselling through face-to-face interaction, email, mobile and other available communication channels.
• Educate people about responsible borrowing and the importance of early and regular savings.
• Provide debt counselling to individuals indebted to formal or informal financial sectors.
• Educate rural, semi-urban and urban residents about financial products and services.
• Explain the advantages of joining the formal financial system.
• Provide information on Kisan Credit Card, Gold Loan, Home Loan, Education Loan, SHG Loan and Pension Loan.
• Explain the importance of timely loan repayment and maintaining a healthy credit score.
• Promote financial literacy, banking awareness, financial planning and debt management.
• Explain the benefits of bank accounts and assist people with account-opening guidance.
• Encourage regular savings habits.
• Guide individuals regarding savings, investments, asset allocation, risk management and retirement planning.
• Create awareness about the adverse effects of credit misuse.
• Help borrowers determine a suitable loan amount based on income and cash flow.
• Guide rural, semi-urban and urban entrepreneurs in connecting with market outlets.
• Educate borrowers about timely repayment and development through credit.

Both the Faculty and Financial Literacy Counsellor positions are offered on a contractual basis. The place of engagement is Mariyani, Chaubepur, Kanpur Nagar, under Bank of Baroda’s Lucknow Zone and Kanpur Nagar Region.
