AMU Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has announced 2 temporary vacancies for Senior Resident, Department of Microbiology and Senior Resident, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery posts. Both positions carry a pay level of AL-11 on a purely temporary basis under advertisement number FM/39/2026. Eligible candidates must fill out the application form only in online mode at the Careers Portal and then submit the printed PDF file of the application form on A-4 size paper with a pasted photograph and appended signature by 2 November 2026. The selection process will be conducted through a Local Selection Committee Interview on 11 November 2026.

Pay and Terms

Selected candidates for the Senior Resident positions will receive remuneration at Pay Level AL-11. The appointments are made on a purely temporary basis and are subject to termination at any time without notice or assignment of reason. Candidates are required to report to the office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, AMU, Aligarh half an hour before the scheduled time of the Local Selection Committee.

1. Visit the official Careers Portal of Aligarh Muslim University at careers.amuonline.ac.in.
2. Fill out the online application form for the respective post under advertisement number FM/39/2026.
3. Take a printout of the generated PDF file of the Application Form on A-4 size paper.
4. Affix your signature and paste a front-facing recent photograph on the designated place on the application form.
5. Attach self-attested copies of all relevant mark sheets, certificates, degrees from class Xth to postgraduation, Internship completion Certificate, Valid Registration of Graduation, Post graduation from NMC, other testimonial (s), Experience Certificate & No Objection Certificate (if employed), with the application form.
6. Submit the application form complete in all respects, super-scribing on the top-left side of the cover, the post applied for, advertisement number and its date, to the Office of the Dean, J. N. Medical College, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-202002 on or before 2 November 2026 (04:00 p.m.).

AMU Senior Resident Important Instructions

• Hard copies of the application form will not be received after 02.11.2026 (04:00 p.m.), and the University is not responsible for postal delays.
• Separate application forms must be filled for each post detailed under a different serial number.
• A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 500/- is to be paid online through the Careers Portal, except for PwD candidates who upload an authentic Disability Certificate.
• Candidates must bring all original documents for verification at the time of the interview, failing which they will not be allowed to appear.
• No separate Notice/Interview letter will be issued to candidates; they must report to the office of the Dean as per the official schedule.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Incomplete applications or applications on plain paper will be summarily rejected.
