Pay and Tenure

The positions are purely temporary and on a contractual basis for three years. The incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment under ICAR. For the Research Associate post, the monthly emolument is Rs. 61000/- plus 30% HRA. For the Junior Research Fellowship post, the emolument is Rs. 37000/- per month fixed for the 1st and 2nd years, and Rs. 42000/- per month fixed for the 3rd year.

Selected candidates will work on the DBT-funded project titled “Development and Characterization of CRISPR-Cas9 mediated Myostatin Gene Knockout Muscle Cell Line for Cultivated Seafood Development” at ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai, focusing on research involving CRISPR-Cas9, cell culture, genome editing, and cultivated seafood development.
