How to Apply for Kotwal

  1. Obtain the prescribed application form from the office of Tehsildar Andheri, Tehsildar Borivali, or Tehsildar Kurla by paying Rs. 20/- in cash between 8 October 2026 and 24 October 2026 during office working hours.
  2. Fill out the application form legibly and correctly with all required details.
  3. Attach self-attested photocopies of educational certificates, age proof, local residency certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), non-creamy layer certificate, and other required documents along with two recent passport-size photographs pasted on the designated spaces with self-signature.
  4. Enclose the application fee via Demand Draft (DD) in favor of “तहसिलदार अंधेरी तथा सदस्य सचिव, कोतवाल निवड समिती”.
  5. Write “मुंबई उपनगर जिल्हा कोतवाल भरती-२०२६, तालुका (अंधेरी, बोरीवली व कुर्ला पैकीकी १ नमूद करणे आवश्यक)” clearly in bold letters on the envelope containing the application.
  6. Submit the completed application form along with enclosures either by hand or through registered post to the respective Tehsildar office (Andheri, Borivali, or Kurla) on or before 24 October 2026 up to 6:15 PM.

Documents Required

Kotwal Important Instructions

  • The appointment is purely on an honorarium and temporary/unclassified basis, and candidates will not receive retirement benefits.
