IIT Indore Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

The Indian Institute of Technology Indore has invited applications for 1 Junior Research Fellow post in the project “ASTRA-Q Astronomical and Space Weather Tracking with Quantum Artificial Intelligence”, funded by the Department of Science & Technology – National Quantum Mission (DST-NQM). The remuneration is ₹37,000 + HRA and the whole project runs for three years. Candidates need a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course, selected through CSIR-UGC NET or GATE or a national level examination. Who Can Apply

• Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), and GATE.
• The selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Desirable experience and skills:

• Experience of 1–2 years.
• Skills in Python.
• Quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit/PennyLane).
• Machine/deep learning.

Pay and Tenure

The remuneration for the Junior Research Fellow is ₹37,000 + HRA. The notice does not print the HRA amount. The entire duration of the project is three (3) years. Based on qualifications, relevant experience and suitability for the project, a candidate may be considered for appointment to any one of the positions listed, as deemed appropriate by the competent authority.
