BSVV Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 15 Guest Teacher, Guest Accompanist Posts

Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (भातखण्डे संस्कृति विश्वविद्यालय), Lucknow will hold a walk-in interview on 27 October 2026 at 12:00 noon at the office of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Lucknow. Candidates can also hand in the filled application form at the university on any working day until 27 October 2026. There are 15 temporary posts for the academic session 2026–27: guest teachers for Music Theory, Sitar, Tabla and Computer Science, and guest accompanists for Tabla, Sarangi, Vocal and Harmonium. Selected candidates will get a fixed remuneration set by the university.

Temporary Guest Teacher – Music Theory, Sitar and Tabla

For the guest teacher posts at S.No. 01 to 03, selection is made entirely on merit and on the norms set by the UGC. Candidates are ranked in this order of preference:

1. Candidates who have passed NET/SLET in the relevant subject or who hold a Ph.D. degree.
2. A degree related to Music Theory (Sangeet Shastra) and experience of theory teaching.
3. Preference goes to the highest marks at postgraduate level in the prescribed subject.
4. A postgraduate specialisation in one subject is accepted only for that subject. For example, in music, candidates who studied instrumental music (वादन) are not eligible for Vocal (गायन).

Temporary Guest Teacher – Computer Science

For S.No. 4, the notice requires that the candidate has passed M.Tech./M.Sc./an equivalent examination and has two years’ work experience.

Temporary Guest Accompanist – Tabla, Sarangi and Vocal

For the guest accompanist posts at S.No. 05 to 08, selection is made entirely on merit. The order of preference is:

• Age: minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years. SC, ST and OBC candidates get an age relaxation of 5 years.
• Qualification: Graduate/Visharad/equivalent examination in the relevant discipline (विधा) with at least 55% marks. SC and ST candidates get a 5% relaxation in marks.
• Preference goes to All India Radio graded artists.

Temporary Guest Accompanist – Harmonium

• Age: minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years. SC, ST and OBC candidates get an age relaxation of 5 years.
• Qualification: Graduate/Visharad/equivalent examination in any discipline of classical music with at least 55% marks.
• Preference goes to candidates who have passed a Diploma/equivalent examination in Harmonium.
• Preference goes to All India Radio graded artists.

Minimum Marks

Under the notice’s “Important Information”, the educational qualification must include at least 55 per cent marks at postgraduate level. SC and ST candidates need 50 per cent to be eligible.

How to Apply

The notice gives two ways to apply. Both use the application form printed on page 2 of the notice.

1. Fill in the application form in full and write the post name in the space given (अस्थायी अतिथि शिक्षक/संगतकर्ता … के पद हेतु).
2. Paste a self-attested passport-size photograph in the box on the form.
3. Attach self-attested photocopies of all required certificates (see the list below).
4. Route 1: Hand in the form at Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Lucknow on any working day until 27 October 2026.
5. Route 2: Go to the office of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Lucknow at 12:00 noon on 27 October 2026 with the filled form, all original certificates and their self-attested photocopies, and take part in the walk-in interview directly.

The form asks for these details:

• full name, father’s/guardian’s name and mother’s name
• date of birth (in figures and words) and category
• permanent address and correspondence address
• Aadhaar number and mobile number
• educational qualifications and musical qualifications (class, year of passing, board/council/university, subject, maximum marks, marks obtained, percentage and division)
• a short description of work experience
• All India Radio grade
• any other qualification besides the relevant subject

What Happens on the Day

Candidates go to the office of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Lucknow at 12:00 noon on 27 October 2026 for the interview. Each candidate must give a demonstration (प्रदर्शन) at the interview. Selection is based on merit, using the order of preference given above for each group of posts.
