DAO Budgam Krishi Udyami Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

Applications are invited for 04 positions of Krishi Udyami (Agricultural Entrepreneur) to operate vacant Panchayat Level Kisan Khidmat Ghars in District Budgam under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program Phase II, which must be submitted to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Budgam in person or by registered post by 30 October 2026 upto 4:30 PM.

Where and How to Send

Completed application forms prepared in the prescribed format (Annexure A) along with self-attested supporting documents must be submitted offline to:

Applications can be delivered by hand in person or forwarded via registered post. Submissions must reach the specified office on or before 30 October 2026 by 4:30 PM. Applications received after the deadline or incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected, and the department will not bear responsibility for any postal delays.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Educational Qualifications:

• Diploma in Agriculture & Allied Fields or Graduation in Science (BSc), or Graduation in Agriculture and Allied Fields (BSc / BVSc).
• Diploma courses include: Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Sciences, Forestry, Fisheries, Sericulture, Agri. Engineering, BHT, or BAT from a government-recognised institution.
• Agriculture Allied courses include: BSc in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Sericulture; B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering; or BVSc & AH from a government-recognised institution.
• Additional preference is given to candidates with post-graduation (science / agriculture & allied) and computer diplomas/certifications of 3 or more months duration from a government-recognised institution.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be between 21 and 45 years of age as of the last date of submission (30 October 2026).

Remuneration & Earnings Model:

The position is on a self-earning and entrepreneurship basis operating under a franchise-franchisee framework. Krishi Udyamis earn their livelihood through nominal service charges fixed by Mission Director HADP, commissions on the sale of farm inputs (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides), commissions from facilitating business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) produce marketing, and contingency fees for attending departmental training sessions.

DAO Budgam Krishi Udyami (Agricultural Entrepreneur) Job Description

• Establish and manage designated Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) to provide operational facilities at the panchayat level.
• Oversee the sale and distribution of recommended agricultural inputs like seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides through APD market linkages.
• Liaise between farming communities and line departments to ensure seamless delivery of government agricultural services.
• Facilitate farmer registration and application processing for HADP schemes, Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), and crop insurance.
• Provide interactive crop advisory, weather forecasts, disease management, and market intelligence using multi-functional kiosks.
• Manage digital portals for input booking, custom hiring centre (CHC) machinery reservation, and farmer enrollment in Daksh Kisan portal.
• Promote B2B and B2C marketing channels to help farmers sell their agricultural produce effectively.
• Maintain operational infrastructure, inventory, and activity logs of the KKG, submitting regular reports to the Agriculture Production Department.

• Date of birth certificate (Matriculation certificate).
• Marks certificate of all qualifying examinations.
• Domicile Certificate.
• Character certificate issued by the competent authority.
• An affidavit attested by a 1st Class Magistrate stating that the candidate will provide secure space comprising two rooms/shops (approximately 750 to 800 Sq. Ft.) at a feasible location within the concerned Panchayat at their own cost, without claiming any rent.
• Signed Declaration affirming accuracy of details on a notarized affidavit as per Annexure B.
• Computer course certificates and higher qualification certificates, if applicable.

Selection Process

Selection for engagement as Krishi Udyami is conducted entirely through a 100-point merit-based system, followed by document verification of shortlisted candidates.

Shortlisted applicants must present all original mark sheets, certificates, and affidavits for verification. The final list of selected candidates will be published on the official websites of the District and the Agriculture Production Department.
