UAS Dharwad Recruitment 2026 – Walkin for 2 Medical Officer, Assistant Lady Medical Officer Posts

Posts and Eligibility

The Medical Officer post is in the General Merit (GM) category. The Assistant Lady Medical Officer post is reserved for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. If eligible candidates of a horizontal or vertical reservation are not available at the interview, eligible candidates of other categories will be considered for those posts on merit.

Eligibility Conditions (printed once for both posts)

The notice gives one set of eligibility conditions. Candidates must meet either the MBBS set or the BAMS set.

MBBS route

• Must possess second class or 50 percent marks in the MBBS degree programme, completed within the minimum prescribed period.
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a recognized and reputed nursing home or hospital.
• Any additional qualification in the medical field is desirable.
• Must produce a record of good service.

OR BAMS route

• Must possess second class or 50 percent marks in the BAMS degree programme, completed within the minimum prescribed period.
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a recognized and reputed nursing home or hospital.
• Any additional qualification in the medical field is desirable.
• Must produce a record of good service.

The pay depends on the degree. MBBS holders get Rs.60,00/- and BAMS holders get Rs.40,00/- a month. The pay is consolidated, and the notice names no allowances. For the full eligibility of each post, candidates should check the official notification.

Selection is on merit, and appropriate representation will be given to SC/ST candidates. Candidates attend at their own expense, at no cost to the University.

Important Instructions

• The engagement is temporary, for up to 179 days, under the 2026-27 grants.
• Because the appointment is temporary, the appointee may be removed from work at any time without any reason being given.
• The appointment does not give any right to a permanent appointment in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.
• Service in the University cannot be claimed as a right to a permanent post.
• Before joining, the selected candidate must submit an undertaking on this point. It must be on Rs.100/- stamp paper in the prescribed Format-TR-2.
