Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Hospital (SVBPH Delhi) is recruiting for 1 Junior Resident post on a contract basis, appointed on adhoc basis for 89 days or till regular joins. Eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview on 16 October 2026, reporting at 9:00 AM at the Administrative Branch, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Hospital, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi. The pay for the Junior Resident post is Rs. 56,100. Applicants must possess an MBBS Degree from a NMC recognized university or institute with an internship completion certificate, and submit the duly filled form along with self-attested photocopies of all required documents to the administrative branch on the interview date between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM.

Posts and Eligibility

The appointment for the Junior Resident post requires candidates to meet specific educational, registration, and age criteria as outlined below.

• Educational Qualification: MBBS Degree from a NMC recognized university or institute with an internship completion certificate. Foreign graduates must have cleared the FMG Examination. Candidates must have completed a rotating internship by the date of interview, and internship must not be completed before 02 years of the date of interview. Candidates must not have done junior residency of one year from any recognized institute.
• Registration: Candidates must possess valid Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration on the date of interview. Candidates who have applied for DMC will not be allowed to appear on the basis of an acknowledgement slip.
• Age Limit: Candidates shall be up to 30 years as of the date of interview. Relaxation as per Circular No. F.No. 121/26/2010/H&FW/OSHFW/1996-2045 dated 10.06.2011 of Government of NCT of Delhi shall be admissible, and the maximum age limit shall be 40 years irrespective of category, if sufficient eligible candidates are not available under the primary criteria.

What Happens on the Day

Eligible candidates must report to the administrative branch between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM on 16 October 2026 to submit their duly filled form and self-attested photocopies of documents. Interviews will be held in the Conference Hall on the 2nd floor of the Administration Block at SVBP Hospital. Selected candidates must join within 07 days of the issue of the offer of appointment.
