SSSB Punjab JE Recruitment 2026 Reopened – Apply Online Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Posts

Subordinate Services Selection Board (SSSB), Punjab has issued SSSB Punjab Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026 Advertisement No. 7 of 2026 for recruitment to Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Mechanical) and Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts in Group-B services under various departments of the Punjab Government. The online application process has now been reopened from 01 September 2026 to 09 September 2026 for eligible candidates. Candidates holding a 3-year Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or higher qualifications can apply online through the official website, sssb.punjab.gov.in. The SSSB JE 2026 selection will be conducted through an objective-type written examination, and the selected candidates will receive a Level-6 pay scale of Rs. 35,400/- per month.

1) Educational Qualification​

Additional Mandatory Requirement:​

• As per Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994, Rule 17: Candidates must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects OR any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language as specified by Punjab Government.

Cut-off Date for Qualification:​

• Candidates must possess the required educational/technical qualifications before the last date for submission of online application forms (i.e., 06.04.2026).

2) Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)​

Note: State & Central Government employees must produce NOC (No Objection Certificate) from their department at the time of counselling to avail age relaxation.​

3) Nationality & Domicile​

• Candidates must be residents/domiciled in Punjab State to avail reservation benefits.

• Valid Domicile/Residence Certificate of Punjab State (not older than 5 years at the time of counselling) is mandatory for all categories (male/female).

4) Category-wise Reservation​

Reservation is available under the following categories for Punjab State residents only:

• General

• EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) – General

• SC (M & B) – Scheduled Caste (Mazhabi & Balmiki)

• SC (R & O) – Scheduled Caste (Ramdasia & Others)

• BC – Backward Class

• ESM (Ex-Serviceman) – Self & Dependent (for General, SC, BC)

• Sports Quota (General, SC M&B, SC R&O)

• PWD (Persons with Disabilities) – Ortho, VH (Visually Handicapped), HH (Hearing Handicapped), ID/MD (Intellectually Disabled/Multiple Disabilities)

• Freedom Fighter
