• Candidates must have completed the qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/Degree, as applicable) as regular candidates only
• Only candidates who passed the qualifying examination in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible
• Candidates whose qualifying-exam result is not yet declared/available as on the last date of application are not eligible
• Candidates who have already undergone, or are currently undergoing, apprenticeship training under any establishment, or who have 1 year or more of job experience, are not eligible

There is no written test. Selection is entirely merit-based through a walk-in process, with shortlisting done on academic marks: 30% weightage to Class-X marks and 70% weightage to Degree/Diploma/ITI marks, as applicable.

How to Apply & Walk-in for Bhilai Steel Plant Apprentice Recruitment

A. For ITI Trade Apprentices

1. Register as a candidate on apprenticeshipindia.org.
2. Log in and go to Apprenticeship Opportunity → search by Establishment Name “SAIL BHILAI STEEL PLANT“.
3. Apply against the prescribed trade appearing on the portal. Applications not registered/applied on the portal will not be accepted.

B. For Graduate/Diploma Apprentices

1. Register as a student on nats.education.gov.in (NATS).
2. Log in and go to Establishment Requests → Find Establishments → select Steel Authority of India Limited, Bhilai Steel Plant.
3. Apply in your passed-out branch of engineering/discipline appearing on the portal.
4. After successfully applying, walk in as per the schedule for your trade/branch above.

Before Registering Online

• Candidates must have an active e-mail ID and mobile number valid for at least the next one year; all future communication is only through e-mail
• The bank account must be DBT-enabled with KYC verified
• Ensure correctness of all information before final submission; the candidate is wholly responsible for the details provided
• Take a printout of the filled-in online application for future reference

Documents Required (At Time of Walk-in)

• Self-attested copy of Matriculation certificate (for date of birth verification)
• Self-attested copy of Provisional Pass Certificate
• Self-attested copy of SC/ST/OBC/PH certificate, if applicable
• Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card/Passbook (e-KYC validation mandatory)
• Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Hospital
• Apprentice Registration copy from the NAPS/NATS portal

Important Conditions

• Vacancies displayed are indicative and may be changed at any time
• BSP will not provide accommodation during training; apprentices must make their own arrangements, and BSP is not liable for any Travel Allowance
• Engagement is subject to being declared medically fit as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 requirement; the medical certificate must be from a Government doctor and bear the doctor’s medical registration number
• Management reserves the right to cancel the selection process at any point; its decision on selection is final
• BSP has no obligation to offer regular employment to apprentices during or after the training period
• Canvassing of any kind will disqualify a candidate
