The application form asks for:

3. Caste/Category, with a self-attested certificate.
4. Educational qualifications (S.S.L.C., PUC, Degree/Diploma, any other) with percentage or grade, year of passing and Board/University.
5. Whether Senior Typewriting and Senior Shorthand (or Diploma in Commercial Practice) are completed in English and Kannada, and the computer applications known.
6. Work experience in years and months, with organisation, position held, nature of work and dates.
7. Whether currently employed, followed by the signed declaration with place and date.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

There is one post: Stenographer, on a contractual basis, with a consolidated pay of Rs.58,086 /- per month (as per existing KCSR 7th pay scale).

Educational qualification, as printed — the candidate must have passed:

• a) PUC or possess an equivalent qualification; and
• b) Senior Typewriting & senior shorthand Examination in Kannada & English conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or possess an equivalent qualification; or
• c) Diploma in Commercial practice with Kannada & English typewriting and Kannada & English Shorthand or possess an equivalent qualification.
• d) Knowledge of Computer Applications is essential.

Other requirements:

• Reading & Writing knowledge of Kannada & English is essential.
• Experience: preference will be given to experienced people.
• Age limit: As per K C S Rules. The notice does not print the age in years or a cut-off date.

Selection Process
