Panjab University Ph.D. Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

Panjab University has notified 1 vacancy for a Ph.D. Research Fellow on a contract basis for a tenure of two years only, with a pay of Rs. 11,000 per month for two years. Candidates applying for the post must possess B Pharm and M Pharm with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH), M Pharm in related specializations, and a qualified GATE/GPAT/Ph.D. Entrance Test or any National Entrance test exam. The selection process consists of an interview of eligible candidates, scheduled for 22 October 2026.

Who Can Apply

Candidates must meet the essential educational qualifications specified for the position under the supervision of Professor Ranju Bansal in Pharmaceutical Chemistry:

• B Pharm and M Pharm with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH candidates).
• M Pharm degree in related specializations.
• Qualified GATE, GPAT, Ph.D. Entrance Test, or any National Entrance test exam conducted by any Central Government department.
• Preference will be given to candidates having good publication records and work experience.

Pay and Tenure

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated emolument of Rs. 11,000/- per month for a fixed tenure of two years only. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

Selection and Interview

The interview will be held on 22 October 2026 at 2:30 PM in the office of Chairperson, UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Candidates must bring relevant documents to support their application.
