MRPL Assistant Engineer Pay Scale 2026

Selected candidates must serve MRPL for a minimum of 3 years from date of joining (including training-cum-probation).
MRPL Assistant Engineer Selection Process 2026
- Initial shortlisting is based purely on valid GATE-2026 marks (out of 100); marks from any previous/other GATE examination are not considered.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) in the ratio of 1:5 (1 post : 5 candidates), category/reservation-wise.
- In case of a tie in GATE marks, the candidate with higher marks in the essential qualification (degree) will be ranked higher.
- The final merit list is prepared as per MRPL’s prevailing rules; MRPL reserves the right to add, modify or delete any test in the selection process.
- Document Verification is conducted at the time of Personal Interview.
- A panel of suitable candidates may be created and kept valid for one year.
How to Apply for MRPL Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2026
- Visit www.mrpl.co.in/careers and click on “Advt. No. 94/2026: Recruitment of Assistant Engineers in ‘E2’ Grade of Management Cadre through GATE 2026”.
- Click “Click here to register online” to generate your Login ID and Password using a valid email ID and mobile number (must remain active for at least 1 year).
- Sign in and fill in educational qualification, category, and other required details in the online application form; an Application ID will be generated and sent via email/SMS.
- General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates: click “Pay Now”, select “Advt. 94/2026”, and pay the application fee of â‚ą118/- online; save the payment receipt.
- After payment, return to the home page, click “Already Paid”, sign in, and enter the SBI e-Collect Reference Number, bank name and payment date; upload the payment receipt (JPG).
- SC/ST/PwBD/ESM candidates (fee-exempt) can directly proceed to document upload.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, GATE-2026 score card, and category/PwBD/EWS certificate as applicable, then click “Submit”.
- Save the PDF of the submitted online application for your records – no printout needs to be sent to MRPL, unless forwarding through proper channel (see below).
Important: Government/PSU/Autonomous body employees must either forward their printed application through Proper Channel or produce an NOC at the time of interview. Important Conditions
- Candidates called for GD/PI will be reimbursed travelling expenses (3AC train fare or AC bus fare limited to 3AC fare) by the shortest route; local travel cost is borne by the candidate. PwBD candidates get reimbursement for one attendant as per Government guidelines.
- Working knowledge of Hindi is desirable.
- Only one online application should be submitted; if multiple applications are received, the latest one submitted within the stipulated time is considered.
- Request for change of category or registered mobile/email, once submitted, will not be entertained.
- Selected candidates are liable to be transferred anywhere in India or abroad, within MRPL, ONGC group companies, or as per MRPL’s requirement, and may need to work in shifts including night shifts.
- Application fee, once paid, is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Any legal dispute arising from this recruitment falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Mangalore.
