Who Can Apply

Essential Qualification

You need one of the following:

• B.Sc./ 3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology from a recognized College/ University
• OR (i) 10+2 with Science from a school affiliated to / recognized by State or Central Board of School Education, and (ii) Diploma in Veterinary Laboratory Technology (DVLT) or Diploma in Dairy Technology (DIDT) from recognised University/Institute

Desirable

• Experience of working with field based research project(s)
• Knowledge of operating computer and MS office

Age Limit

Pay and Tenure

The monthly emoluments are Rs. 20,000/- plus HRA (As per LUVAS rules). The selected candidate is entitled to TA/DA as per rules. Salary will be paid when the funds arrive from the funding agency.

• The position is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project. When the project ends, the candidate will be relieved, and the university/department will not be responsible for placing him/her elsewhere in the university.
• If the work and conduct are not found satisfactory, the services can be terminated at any time, after the person concerned has had a due opportunity of being heard.
• The services can also be terminated at any time if funds run short.
• A selected candidate who wants to leave can do so after giving 15 days’ notice in writing to the department/university.
• The selected candidate will not be a regular employee of the university and will not be entitled to CPF/GPF or any other benefit given to regular employees.

LUVAS Project Assistant Job Description

• Project co-ordination with field A.I workers, Data collection, reports preparation and all other project related activities.
• Any other work assigned by the PI or the university authorities.

The place of working is the Department of Livestock Production Management, COVS, LUVAS, or any other place the Principal Investigator deputes, including the selected project area.

• At the time of joining, the selected candidate must produce a certificate of medical fitness from the CMO of the University.
• Before joining, the selected candidate must sign an agreement on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/-.
• The selected candidate must report for duty within 10 days from the date the order is issued. Otherwise the engagement will be treated as withdrawn.
• The University shall not bear any liability if any engaged person dies during the period of engagement.
