KEA Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 31 Assistant Town Planner, Junior Engineer Posts

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has invited applications for 31 posts in 6 roles under Advt No. ED/KEA/40/Ne.Vi/2026 (KK). Junior Engineer (Civil) – Karnataka Housing Board (5 posts)

Qualification required: Must be holder of Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized institute by the Government. Age limit: Minimum 18 years; maximum 40 years for General Merit, 43 years for Category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B, and 45 years for SC, ST and Category-1. Pay: 54175 – 99400.

Junior Engineer (Civil) – Greater Bengaluru Authority (4 posts)

Qualification required: Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering (General), or Diploma in Civil Engineering (Draftsmanship), or Diploma in Architectural, or Diploma in Architectural Assistantship (C-20 syllabus). Age limit: Minimum 18 years; maximum 40 years for General Merit, 43 years for Category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B, and 45 years for SC, ST and Category-1. Pay: 54175 – 99400.

How Will KEA Select Candidates?

• Competitive examination: Paper-1 and Paper-2 (Offline OMR)
• Qualifying Kannada Language Test, unless exempted
• Merit or rank based on percentage of total marks
• Online counselling with option entry, Candidate Verification Slip and mock allotment
• Provisional selection list in 1:1 ratio
• Final selection list and additional list
• Verification of original documents by the appointing authority
• Selection is on total marks in the competitive examination, eligibility and reservation rules, through online counselling.
• Options are entered online through login after the result; they cannot be submitted by hand or post.
• Each candidate may be selected for only one post through counselling.
• If marks tie, the older candidate ranks higher; if age also ties, higher marks in the qualifying examination decide.

KEA Exam Pattern 2026

• Offline OMR examination with objective multiple-choice questions and 4 answer options.
• Minimum 35% marks required to qualify in the competitive examination.
• 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
• A fifth OMR option must be shaded for unanswered questions, or 0.25 mark is deducted per question.
• Five extra minutes are given after the last bell for shading the fifth option.
• Compulsory Kannada test: maximum 150 marks, minimum 50 marks; marks do not count for selection or seniority.

Documents to Enclose

• Original marks cards and qualification certificates at document verification.
• Caste or reservation certificate in the prescribed form, with RD number.
• Rural candidates: Form-1 (where applicable) with RD number and Form-2 certified by the headmaster and countersigned by the Block Education Officer.
• Kannada medium certificate for Classes 1 to 10, signed and sealed by the school headmaster.
• Original photo ID at the exam centre, with the admit card.

2. Read all eligibility instructions, then fill in the online application.
3. Enter the correct RD number when claiming reservation.
4. Check every detail, because no information can be changed after submission.
5. Pay the fee online by 27-11-2026.
6. Apply on or before 26 November 2026.

Other Points to Note

• Post-wise and category-wise details are published separately, are provisional and may be revised on Government orders.
• Exam centre details will be announced later, and the centre cannot be changed for any reason.
• Reservation not claimed in the application cannot be added later.
• A wrongly claimed reservation can be deleted in the Candidate Verification Slip only before mock allotment begins.
• KEA does not verify original documents; the appointing authority does.
