JU Finance Officer Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

Jadavpur University, Kolkata has invited applications from Indian Nationals for one Finance Officer post (UR) at Pay Level 14, Rs. 1,44,200 (scale Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200/-), under Advt. No. A2/C/4/2026 dated 03.11.2026. Applicants need a Master’s Degree in Commerce/Finance with minimum 55% marks, a Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant qualification (or an MBA in Finance) and 15 years of finance experience, and must be not less than 40 years of age. Who Can Apply

The notice lists the following essential conditions for the Finance Officer post.

Of the 15 years of experience, 5 years must be in a higher administrative post involving supervision, control, planning and administration. All qualifications, experience and age are recognised up to the last date of submission of application. Equivalence of parameters and of concerned, relevant or allied subjects may be decided by the screening committee of the University. Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel. Candidates should check the official notification for the full eligibility of the post.

How to Apply for JU Finance Officer

1. Download the blank application form in pdf format from the JU website, www.jadavpuruniversity.in, and fill it in.
2. Pay the application fee of Rs. 500 as indicated on the JU website. From within India, the options are net banking, debit / credit / Rupay card, or a challan for cash payment at SBI branches. Use any one of them.
3. Keep the printout of the payment receipt or challan. The payment link closes at 4.00 p.m. on 25.11.2026.
4. Prepare seven hard copies of the complete application form (the notice also says one original and seven photocopies), with all enclosures including attested or self-attested photocopies of all certificates and testimonials (in a single copy).
5. Write the name of the post applied for and the Advertisement Number on the envelope.
6. Send the application by post under Certificate of Posting, preferably by Registered Post, to: Vice-Chancellor, Jadavpur University, Aurobindo Bhavan, 188, Raja S.C. Mallick Road, Jadavpur, Kolkata – 700 032.
7. Alternatively, hand it in at the Information Office on any working day between 11.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

Those who wish to apply for more than one post must apply separately and pay fees accordingly. Candidates who applied earlier for Finance Officer (Advt. No. A2/C/2/2025 dt. 12.11.2025) need not apply again. They may send updated information to the Vice-Chancellor by e-mail at [email protected] or by hard copy within the stipulated timeline.

Selection and Interview

Essential qualifications are the minimum, and mere possession of them does not entitle an applicant to be called for interview. If many applications are received, the Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates called for interview on the basis of qualifications, experience and other credentials, or by any other suitable method it decides. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview at the postal and e-mail address registered during application. Shortlisted candidates must be present physically before the Selection Committee on the day of the interview, with no exception. Photocopies of all testimonials and certificates must be submitted at the interview (if called), and the originals will be required for verification. The notice does not give an interview date.
