Instrumentation Age Limit

Medical Standards

Provisionally selected candidates must undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Examination at the Instrumentation Limited Dispensary before joining, to ascertain medical fitness. Applicants must meet all medical standards prescribed by the company (the concerned authority in respect of PwD candidates), and no relaxation in health standards is allowed. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory medical report from the company’s doctor. Candidates applying for technical positions with colour blindness will not be considered and need not apply.

Instrumentation Application Fee

The fee must be paid by Demand Draft (DD) only, enclosed with the prescribed application. The notification states that no other mode of payment is acceptable.

Instrumentation Salary and Benefits

All the advertised posts carry the pay scale Rs.14700-86000. Selected candidates are placed at the minimum of the scale of the grade for which they are appointed.

The notification states that tenure-based personnel are not entitled to any allowance or benefits other than those indicated in the remuneration/pay scale and leave provisions above.

Tenure of Engagement

The recruitment is on Fixed Term Employment (FTE) basis, initially for 2 years. It can be extended by a further 2 years (maximum period of 4 years) at the discretion of the company, based on requirement and satisfactory performance.

Surety Amount

An amount at 5% will be deducted at source from the monthly emoluments as surety. It will be paid back without interest on completion of the contract tenure. If the candidate leaves the company, or the Fixed Term Employment is terminated before the contract tenure is completed, the surety amount will not be returned.

Instrumentation Selection Process

The selection process for Grade ‘C’ under Fixed Term Employment comprises two stages.

  • Shortlisted candidates must produce all original documents at the time of document verification, including testimonials in support of age and qualification.
  • Appointment is subject to verification of caste, character and antecedents, as the case may be, from the concerned authorities as per company rules.
  • Intimation about the written/practical test will be sent through e-mail and Speed Post.
  • The minimum qualifying marks and test dates are not specified in the notification.

Travelling Allowance for Test Candidates

Candidates attending the written/practical test will be reimbursed Travelling Allowance (TA), that is III AC Class train fare by the shortest route, on production of proof of travel (original onward journey ticket and photocopy of return journey ticket). If a candidate travels by another mode of transport, the reimbursement is limited to the shortest route by train fare or actual expenses, whichever is less, on production of proof. Candidates who fail to produce the original testimonials/certificates mentioned in the application will not be allowed to appear for the test and no TA will be payable.

There is no online submission for this recruitment. The company website is used only to download the application format. Applications sent by Fax, E-mail or by hand are not accepted.

Steps to Apply

  1. Log in to the company website (www.ilpgt.com) and download the application format.
  2. Fill in the prescribed application form completely, mentioning the name of the post applied for. A valid e-mail ID and mobile number must be entered, as communication about the written/practical test will be sent to them.
  3. Affix a passport size photograph at the space provided.
  4. Enclose the Demand Draft (Rs.500/- for General, EWS and OBC; Rs.250/- for SC/ST; no fee for PwD) and a set of self-attested photocopies of relevant certificates in proof of qualification, age, category, experience and so on.
  5. Place everything in a sealed cover superscribed “Application for the post of ———-“.
  6. Send it by Ordinary Post, Speed Post, Registered Post or Courier so that it reaches the address below on or before 26.10.2026 (05.00 pm).

Application Instructions

  • Candidates can apply for only one post, clearly mentioning the post applied for along with the DD and all other relevant documents.
  • A candidate who has applied once cannot alter the application under any circumstances.
  • Requests for change of mailing address, category or discipline declared in the application will not be entertained.
  • Candidates are advised to keep the e-mail ID active for at least one year and to check e-mail regularly. The company will not be responsible for bounced e-mails.
  • All relevant original certificates must be produced at the time of the written/practical test.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/Minority/EWS categories must enclose a copy of the certificate issued by the Competent Authority. The category must be filled in carefully, as it cannot be changed later.

Instrumentation General Conditions

  1. The requirements are purely temporary and offered on a fixed tenure basis. The posts are not against any permanent vacancy, and the placement does not entitle the candidate to regular/permanent employment in Instrumentation Limited in future.
  2. Only Indian nationals need apply.
  3. Applicants serving in Government/Public Sector Enterprises/Semi-Government/Autonomous Organisations should apply through proper channel or produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of the written/practical test, failing which they will not be permitted to appear for it.
  4. Only candidates fulfilling the job specification as on the date of advertisement need apply.
  5. Mere conformity to the job requirements/qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called for the written/practical test. The management reserves the right to reject an application without assigning any reason and to raise the standard of specifications to restrict the number of candidates called.
  6. The mode of selection is as described in the selection process section above.
  7. Appointment is subject to verification of caste, character and antecedents, as the case may be.
  8. Category certificates must be enclosed as stated in the application instructions.
  9. Shortlisted candidates must produce all original documents at document verification.
  10. TA is payable as described in the selection process section.
  11. Incomplete applications or applications not in the prescribed format will be rejected, and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
  12. If any information provided is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria, the candidate is liable for rejection at any stage of the selection process or even after engagement.
  13. Any canvassing by or on behalf of candidates, or any attempt to bring political or other outside influence regarding selection/engagement, is sufficient reason for disqualification.
  14. The company is not liable for any damage, injury or loss to the individual sustained during the entire selection process and journey.
  15. The selected candidate must indicate acceptance of the offer within one week from receipt of the offer; otherwise, it will be offered to the next candidate in order of merit. The Competent Authority may grant an extension on a case-to-case basis.
  16. The management reserves the right to call or not to call any or all of the candidates who responded to the advertisement. No correspondence regarding rejection of an application in case of ineligibility will be entertained.
  17. The management will not be responsible for delayed receipt or non-receipt of applications.
  18. Intimation/correspondence regarding the written/practical test will be sent through e-mail and Speed Post.
  19. The decision of the management regarding selection is final.
