IIT Guwahati Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

• Domain Expert – Procurement: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline. Minimum 60% marks. Minimum three years hands-on experience in procurement, tendering, contract management. Working knowledge of GeM, CPP Portal, NIC e-Procurement. Understanding of GFR, Procurement Manuals, MSME, Make in India.
• Consultant: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, AI, Data Science, ML, Electronics, Electrical, Mathematics, Statistics or related. Minimum 60% marks. Minimum five years professional experience in AI/ML, NLP, LLMs, SLMs or enterprise AI-system development. Hands-on in at least three of: SLM/LLM training, NLP, RAG, prompt engineering, model evaluation. Working knowledge of Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain.
• Project Manager: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, IT, AI, Data Science, Electronics, Electrical, Business Administration, Project Management or related. Minimum 60% marks. Minimum ten years experience in managing software, AI/ML, digital transformation, IT projects. Proven experience in at least two end-to-end technology projects. Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall. Experience with Jira, MS Project, Trello, Asana, Azure DevOps.
• Software Quality Assurance Engineer – Automation & API Testing: Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Applications or related. Minimum 60% marks. Minimum two years hands-on in software testing, QA automation, web/API testing. Practical experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress. Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript. Experience with Postman, REST, PyTest, Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail, Azure DevOps. Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum, SDLC, CI/CD.
