Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) Recruitment Cell has released advertisement number E-II/32/2026(W) dated 9 October 2026 for 1 Consultant vacancy on a contract basis for 01 year, extendable up to a maximum of 02 years, at the Sonipat Campus. Candidates must hold a 03 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% of marks or equivalent CGPA grading with 06-year experience after diploma, or a B.Tech./B.E. The pay is Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month. IIT Delhi Consultant Age Limit

The age limit for the Consultant position is below 40 years as of the cut-off date. Cut-off date for determining the age/experience/educational qualification shall be 29.10.2026.

IIT Delhi Consultant Salary

The remuneration will be commensurate with the candidates’ domain knowledge, skills and experience. The remuneration shall not be more than twenty percent higher than the remunerations received in any of the previous services/engagements. The remuneration may be reviewed after completion of one year on annual basis, with an annual remuneration increment ranging between 03% to 10%, subject to performance assessment by the Reporting and Reviewing Officer.

IIT Delhi Consultant Selection Process

The selection process comprises shortlisting of applications by a Committee followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates.

Shortlisted Candidates and Interview

Applications received within the due date will be shortlisted by a Committee, and only the shortlisted candidates will be considered for the interview. The date of the interview will be intimated separately through e-mail to shortlisted candidates only.
