IISER Pune Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

• Junior Research Fellow:
  • Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Botany / Life sciences or related areas.
  • B. Tech / BS or equivalent degree in any other relevant quantitative fields.
  • Valid CSIR-NET / GATE / DBT – JRF / any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions OR equivalent scorecard.
  • Candidates having demonstrated work experience in Plant Tissue Culture, Plant transformation, recombinant DNA tools and CRISPR mediated genome editing will be preferred.
• Project Associate II:
  • Master’s degree in Natural / Biotechnology / Microbiology or Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in R&D in academic Institutions. Candidates with experience in plant molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, cloning, plant transformation and tissue culture techniques and having published a primary research paper in a peer reviewed international journal will be preferred.

IISER Pune Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit

• Junior Research Fellow: Not more than 28 years. Age relaxation may be considered for applicants having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
• Project Associate II: Not more than 35 years. Age relaxation may be considered for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
