Who Can Apply

Candidates applying for the Research Associate position must fulfill the educational qualifications and criteria set by the institute according to CSIR HRDG norms.

• Essential Qualification (a): Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with three years R&D experience as on the last date of application, evidenced from RAship or associateship or from date of registration of PhD.
• Essential Qualification (b): Candidates with submitted Ph.D. (science/engineering) thesis are also eligible for RA’ship, subject to the condition that PhD viva-voce is done and they are declared qualified for the award of PhD / awarded PhD degree before the expiry of the validity of the award offer.
• Essential Qualification (c): The candidate must have at least one research publication in a standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR), as per CSIR HRDG norms.

Pay and Tenure

The selected Research Associate will receive a fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- per month plus 18% HRA if on-campus accommodation is not provided. The project tenure is 1 year and is strictly subject to satisfactory work progress.
