Who Can Apply

Eligibility requirements including essential qualifications, research experience, and age limits vary by post as detailed below.

The upper age limits for the posts are as follows:

• Research Associate (RA): Upper age limit is 40 years for men and 45 years for women.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
• Age Relaxation: Candidates claiming age relaxations on account of category, previous employment, or any other as applicable under Government of India norms must send supporting certificates along with documents.

Pay and Tenure

The positions are purely temporary, time-bound, and co-terminus with the DBT-funded scheme for a period of three years. Service conditions and tenure are governed by ICAR guidelines. The appointed personnel will have no legal right or claim to regular appointment, absorption, or further contractual engagement under ICAR.

The post-wise monthly emoluments are:

• Research Associate (RA): Rs. 61,000/- plus 30% HRA per month.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- fixed per month for the first and second year; Rs. 42,000/- fixed per month for the third year.
