HGC Principal Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

Hojai Girls’ College (HGC) has announced vacancy for the post of Principal under advertisement number HGC/Advertisement/402, with the term of Principal set for 5 years. Eligible candidates can apply through the offline application process, sending their applications through proper channel to the Office of the Principal i/C, Hojai Girls’ College, Hojai Assam on or before 23 October 2026. Applicants must hold a Master Degree with at least 55% marks, a Ph.D. Degree, 15 years experience, API score, 10 research publications, and 110 research score, alongside meeting the upper age limit 55 years as per prescribe rule. Applications require a demand draft of Rs. 5,000 in favour of Principal I/C, Hojai Girls’ College, Hojai payable at State Bank of India, Hojai Branch.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Candidates must possess a Master Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent in the point of scale where grading system is followed) from a recognized University. A Ph.D. Degree is required. Candidates must have total service experience of at least 15 years of Teaching, Research, or Administration in University, Colleges, and other institutions of Higher Education as a Professor or Associate Professor.

Applicants need a minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on performance based Appraisal (PBAS) as per UGC regulation in Appendix I for direct recruitment of Principals in Colleges. A minimum of 10 research publications in Peer Reviewed or UGC listed Journals and a minimum of 110 research score as per Appendix III at table-2 as per UGC Regulation 2018 are mandatory. Relaxation of 5% may be provided at Master Degree Level for SC, ST, and Differently abled (Physically and Visually differently able) candidates based on qualifying marks without including any grace marks.
