GIMS Faculty Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Super-specialty Departments (D.M./M.Ch)

For super-specialty subjects, candidates require D.M./DNB/DrNB or M.Ch/DNB/DrNB in the concerned super specialty, with experience as Assistant/Associate Professor in the subject and completion of the Basic Course in Biomedical Research, as detailed in the official notification. Alternate qualification routes during the transition period apply for Critical Care Medicine and Medical Oncology as specified in the notification.

GIMS Faculty Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

This is a contractual faculty appointment; there is no written examination. Selection is based on scrutiny of qualifications, experience and publications, followed by a personal interview.

• Screening/shortlisting of applications based on the essential academic qualification and experience prescribed for each post as per NMC Guidelines.
• Shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview at GIMS, Greater Noida.
• Candidates who have applied in advance may submit their No Objection Certificate (NOC)/forwarding letter from their current employer up to the date of the interview.
• The Director, GIMS reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
• Exact interview date, venue, and further stages (if any) are not specified in the official notification and will be communicated to shortlisted candidates.

How to Apply for GIMS Faculty Recruitment 2026

1. Visit the official website www.gims.ac.in and open the online application form for Advertisement No. GIMS/2026/Manpower-2(Cont.)/11.
2. Fill in personal, educational, and experience details, and upload all required documents (see Documents section below) online.
3. Pay the application fee of ₹1,180/- online in favour of “The Director, Government Institute of Medical Sciences”, payable at Greater Noida, UP.
4. Submit the online application and take a printout of the completed form.
5. Send the printout, along with self-attested copies of all documents and proof of fee payment, by registered post/speed post only to: The Director, Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Kasna, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP (India) – 201310.
6. Superscribe the envelope as “Application for Faculty Position” and clearly mention the advertisement number and post applied for at the top of the envelope.

Documents Required

• Date of Birth certificate (as per Matriculation certificate)
• Certificates of academic qualifications, mark sheets, degrees, and official transcripts from each institution attended (with certified English/Hindi translation, if required)
• Complete teaching and other experience certificates
• Reprints of up to 5 best original research publications, as per NMC regulations
• Certificates of distinctions, prizes, medals, etc.
• SC/ST/OBC category certificate from a competent authority, issued not earlier than 6 months before the last date of application
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from present employer
• Self-declaration certifying correctness of entries in the application
• Demand draft/fee payment proof (scanned copy)

Important Conditions

• Incomplete applications will not be considered and will be treated as cancelled.
• Advance applications are accepted, but a forwarding copy through proper channel or an NOC from the current employer must be submitted before the date of interview.
• The number of posts is provisional and subject to change without prior notice; selection may not be held for all advertised posts.
