FACT Engineer IT Vacancy 2026

FACT Engineer IT Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have successfully completed Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act from the FACT Training & Development Centre on or before 31.12.2025, in the category specified below. Two notes in the notification apply:

• Apprentices who have completed or are completing Apprenticeship in the year 2026 need not apply. They will be considered for engagement against requirements, if any, from the list sourced directly from the FACT Training & Development Centre.
• Only candidates who upload both the Certificate of Proficiency (COP) and the Certificate issued by FACT Training & Development Centre along with the online form will be considered for inclusion in the Panel.

Meeting the eligibility criteria or inclusion in the Panel does not by itself give any right to selection or engagement.

FACT Engineer IT Qualification

FACT Engineer IT Age Limit

The age limit as on 01.10.2026 is less than 35 years and above 18 years. Later engagements from the Panel are subject to meeting the maximum age limit on the date of engagement. The Std X certificate with date of birth is the only document accepted as proof of date of birth.

FACT Engineer IT Salary

Candidates offered engagement will be paid a consolidated pay of Rs. 31,000/- per month. An increase of 3% of the consolidated pay will be paid on successful completion of each year. Leave, ESI, Provident Fund, and TA & DA for duty travel apply based on eligibility, as per Company rules.

Term of Engagement

The engagement is for one year, renewable for a maximum of 3 spells of one year each, at the Management’s discretion, subject to requirement, performance and assessment. The Management may terminate the engagement with 15 days’ notice or pay in lieu of notice, without assigning any reason. The engagement does not confer any right to extension, permanent appointment or preferential treatment. Panel candidates may also be considered for shorter-duration engagement at rates and terms fixed by the Company.

FACT Engineer IT Selection Process

The notification does not mention a written test or interview. After preliminary scrutiny of the documents submitted with the application, candidates are ranked in the following order:

1. Earlier date of passing Apprenticeship Training.
2. Order of Apprenticeship Token Number.

Other conditions in the notification:

• Eligibility and selection are decided on the information and documents submitted. Candidature is provisional at all stages.
• Provisionally selected candidates must undergo a pre-employment medical examination and be certified fit by the Company’s Medical Officer, meeting the Company’s physical/medical standards (available on the Company website). No relaxation is allowed, and the Medical Officer’s opinion is final.
• Engagement is subject to continued medical fitness during the contract and submission of a Police Clearance Certificate.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the selection process.

Reservation and Certificates

• Reservation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PWBD candidates applies as per Government Directives.
• EWS candidates must submit the EWS certificate of the relevant year (income of FY 2025-26 for engagement during FY 2026-27).
• OBC-NCL candidates must submit a self-declaration in the prescribed format on the website, along with the OBC-NCL certificate. If engaged, they must produce an OBC-NCL certificate from the Competent Authority issued within 6 months before joining.
• PWBD candidates must submit the certificate from the Authority as prescribed in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules 2017.

2. Fill in all necessary data. The data in the Online Form and the uploaded Application Form must be the same.
3. Upload the mandatory documents in PDF format (listed below) in the prescribed place.

Online Forms submitted without these essential documents, or with an Application Form that is not duly filled, are liable to be rejected.

Important Instructions

• Only applications submitted online with the prescribed Application Form and certificates are considered. Applications by any other mode are rejected.
• A submitted application is final and no changes are entertained.
• Further notifications are published on www.fact.co.in > Careers. Individual communication, if any, is only through the e-mail id used for the Online Form, which must stay valid and functional. FACT is not responsible for failed communication through that e-mail id.
• Applications and documents of applicants not included in the Panel are not retained for more than one year from the date of publication of the Panel. All documents related to this selection are preserved only for two years from that date.
