Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Technology; Textile & Fashion Technology; Fashion Design; Textile; Design or a related discipline from a recognized University/Institution
• Age limit: Maximum 35 years (as on the date of the notification)
• Age relaxation: SC/ST/OBC 5 years, Women 5 years, Physically Challenged 5 years, Ex-servicemen 10 years

Other conditions:

• Minimum of First Class (60% marks for general; 55% for SC/ST candidates) in all classes from 10th to Masters Degree.
• No admission will be allowed after 12 Noon.

Desirable:

• Practical proficiency in photography and videography.
• Hands-on knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe software, along with video-editing software.
• Ability to conduct field survey, interact with weavers and artisans, and compile data.
• Knowledge of textile weaving processes and traditional design techniques.
• Experience in field-based research, digital documentation, or working with artisans will be an advantage.

CSTRI Project Associate Job Description

• Conduct field surveys and visits.
• Documentation of the heritage.
• Identify, document and digitize traditional Ilkal saree designs and motifs for developing a digital heritage design library.
• Identify field-level problems and communicate with the weaver community.
• Assist in the technical assessment of existing silk handloom and preparatory processes, and support the identification and implementation of suitable technological upgradation measures.
• Assist in data analysis, report preparation and other project-related activities.
• Undertake independent travel to the project cluster and surrounding villages to accomplish assigned project objectives, as instructed by the Principal Investigator (PI)/Co-Investigator (CI).

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Initially up to 31st March 2027, which may be extended for up to two additional years, subject to project requirements and satisfactory performance.
