CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (CSIR-IICB) has invited candidates for a walk-in-interview to select around 16 suitable candidates for temporary engagement under different projects at the CSIR-IICB Jadavpur campus, Kolkata. The walk-in-interview will be conducted on 14 October 2026 (Wednesday). The upper age limits reckoned as on the date of interview are 35 years for Project Associate-I and Project Scientist-I posts, and 40 years for Senior Project Associate posts.

Name of the Position Remuneration per month
Project Associate-I (a) Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA per month (with CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship / assistant professorship OR GATE those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.(b) Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA for those who do not fall under (a) above.
Senior Project Associate ₹42,000/- Plus 30% HRA
Project Scientist-I ₹56,000/- p.m plus 30% HRA (Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience in the same project)

Selection will be based on a Walk-in-Interview conducted at CSIR-IICB, Jadavpur campus, Kolkata.

CSIR IICB Important Instructions
The project positions are for duration up to one year initially; extension is subject to requirement, review, and CSIR rules.
The tenure of engagement is co-terminus with the project and under no circumstances shall exceed six years across all CSIR labs.
Candidates who are in the final semester or whose results are awaited are not eligible for the positions.
Age and qualifications will be reckoned as on the date of interview.
Reporting time for the walk-in interview is 08:45 A.M. and the entry gate will close at 10:00 A.M.
Candidates must bring both original and self-attested copies of certificates and documents.
Engagement is purely temporary and does not confer any right for regularization or absorption against any IICB / CSIR post.
