Where and How to Send

Candidates must hand in the application in person. The notice says applications received by post or online will not be considered. Applications submitted earlier to this office or anywhere else will also not be considered. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation says it has not authorised any person or other organisation to sell or accept applications.

Application Fee

The fee is charged under circular क्र.एचओ/26403/लेखा dated 01.04.2026. It is non-refundable and will not be returned under any circumstances. It is paid at the Cashier Department (Room No. 65), First Floor, D Wing, Dr. Rustom Narsi Cooper Hospital, from 26 October 2026 to 3 November 2026 during office hours (11.00 am to 3.00 pm). All Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are excluded. An application without the receipt for the prescribed fee will not be accepted.

Steps to Apply

1. Pay Rs. 1028/- at the Cashier Department (Room No. 65), First Floor, D Wing, Dr. Rustom Narsi Cooper Hospital, and collect the receipt.
2. Fill in the application form completely. Give a valid email ID that you use regularly, your mobile number and a full postal address with PIN code, all written clearly.
3. Attach a photocopy of the fee receipt.
4. Attach self-attested photocopies of all your qualification certificates and the other documents listed under Enclosures. If the photocopies of the certificates for the qualifications in the advertisement are missing, the application will be treated as invalid.
5. Hand in the application at the Establishment Department, First Floor, D Wing, Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College and Dr. Rustom Narsi Cooper Hospital, Juhu, between 26 October 2026 and 3 November 2026, from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. Public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays are excluded.
6. Attend the interview on 5 November 2026 at 11.00 am with your original documents.

Before applying, candidates must check for themselves that they meet the qualifications and conditions for the post and are eligible for a purely temporary contract appointment.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

All 17 posts are filled on a purely temporary contract basis for a period of 3 years from the first appointment. Pay is a consolidated honorarium per month.

Contract staff get no dearness allowance, house rent allowance or any other allowance on top of the consolidated honorarium.

Age Limit

On 1 October 2026, the candidate must not be below 18 years or above 38 years of age. This limit applies to all five posts.

MRI Technician

• A degree in the science stream (BPMT) from a recognised university.
• 2 years’ experience of MRI work.
• Must have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination, an equivalent examination or a higher examination with Marathi as a subject carrying a 100-mark paper, in line with the qualifications for the cadre.

MRI Assistant

• A degree in the science stream (BPMT) from a recognised university.
• Must have passed the SSC examination, an equivalent examination or a higher examination with Marathi as a subject carrying a 100-mark paper, in line with the qualifications for the cadre.

Executive Assistant

• A graduate in commerce, science, arts, law or an equivalent stream from a recognised university.
• Good knowledge of computer operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, database software, email, the internet and similar tools.
• A certificate of passing the Government English and Marathi typing examinations at a minimum speed of 30 words per minute in each.
• Must have passed the SSC examination, an equivalent examination or a higher examination with Marathi as a subject carrying a 100-mark paper, in line with the qualifications for the cadre.

Nurse

• Higher Secondary education of Maharashtra State completed in the science stream.
• Must hold General Nursing Midwifery and a diploma (must have passed the full-time course of 3 or 3½ years prescribed by the Maharashtra Nursing Council).
• Registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council (महाराष्ट्र परिचर्या परिषद) is required.
• Knowledge of MS-CIT is required.
• Knowledge of Marathi and English is required.

Multipurpose Worker

• Must have passed 10th/SSC.
• Must have passed the Secondary School Certificate examination (Std. 10) with Marathi as a subject carrying a 100-mark paper, or an equivalent examination with Marathi (higher or lower level), as per the norms of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
• Must be able to write, read and speak Marathi.

Enclosures

The notice lists these documents for the paramedical and administrative cadres:

• The application form, completely filled in
• Educational certificates: the 10th and 12th marksheets and certificates, and the documents the post’s qualification requires (degree, diploma, postgraduate degree, fellowship, MSCIT or typing certificate, etc.)
• A registration certificate from the relevant council, for example the Maharashtra Medical Council or Pharmacy Council, as the post’s qualification requires
• Experience certificates
• Aadhaar card
• PAN card
• Address proof – Driving Licence, Electricity Bill, Voting ID or Ration Card
• Married women: a photocopy of the marriage registration certificate
• A photocopy of the fee receipt

Self-attest all photocopies. Women candidates should submit the marriage registration certificate and the gazette notification for a change of name. If they do not have these, married women may apply in their pre-marriage name.

Selection Process

A merit list will be prepared from the prescribed educational qualification for the post and the marks obtained in the interview. The selection list will be drawn from the candidates on the merit list.

Interview

• Date and time: 5 November 2026 at 11.00 am (for all five posts)
• Venue: Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College and Dr. Rustom Narsi Cooper Hospital, Juhu
• Bringing all original documents for verification is compulsory.
• Candidates attend the interview at their own expense.

Before a temporary appointment is made, the hospital will obtain a character and antecedents certificate for the eligible candidate from the police station concerned.

Important Instructions

• Candidates must declare any conviction by a court in a case of moral turpitude or a criminal case, and any pending police inquiry or court case against them.
• A single spell of temporary service will be purely for a period not exceeding 40 days at a time.
• The Dean may end the service without prior notice if the work during the temporary period is not satisfactory.
• Because the appointment is on contract, appointees cannot go to any court.
• At appointment, the candidate signs an agreement on Rs. 500/- stamp paper.
• Appointees must mark biometric attendance every day according to their duty hours, or they will be treated as absent. Absence without permission will be counted as leave without pay (LWP).
• The appointment will be cancelled at once, without prior notice, if the appointee is found guilty of indiscipline. A selected candidate who wants to resign must give 1 month’s advance notice.
• Appointees will have no claim to permanent service in the Municipal Corporation and will get none of the benefits of regular service.
• Appointees must work in three shifts in any department of the hospital where they are posted by the Head of Department.
• Giving false information, certificates or documents, or hiding any information, at any stage leads to cancellation of the candidature, or termination of the appointment without prior notice. The Dean may stop the selection process at any stage for administrative or other reasons.
