One Senior Research Fellow (SRF) is to be engaged on a temporary basis in the project “Use of Fly ash in agriculture for sustainable crop production and environmental protection” (Code No. 30545), funded by NTPC Ltd., at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV), Mohanpur, Nadia. The fellowship is Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA @8% for the first two years and Rs. 42,000/- p.m. + HRA @8% for the third year, for up to three years. Candidates need a First or high 2nd Class M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry or an M.Sc. in Soil Science with NET qualification. Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya is an agricultural university at Mohanpur in Nadia district, West Bengal. Essential qualification (E.Q.): Candidates must have First or high 2nd Class M.Sc. (Ag.) degree in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry/M.Sc. in Soil Science securing at least 55% marks in aggregate or OGPA 6.50 in 10.00 scale with NET qualification.

Desirable qualification (D.Q.):

• Experience in agricultural research, conducting field trials, laboratory works in soil chemistry and plant nutrition as well as pollutant elements.
• Adequate knowledge about the running of different analytical instruments.
• Data collection and analysis using modern software and tools like ‘R’.
• Working knowledge of computers.

Pay and Tenure
