Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Community Science/Veterinary Science as relevant to the requirement of the post. For the post of Assistant Professor in Sericulture, the essential requirement is Bachelor’s degree in either Sericulture or Agriculture. Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in the discipline relevant to the post from an Indian university or a foreign university. Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET), or NET is waived for candidates with Ph.D. degree obtained under course credit system as per UGC Regulations, 2009, provided the candidate has at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 5 on the last date of submission of application. A minimum score (44 out of 80 for General & 40 out of 80 for SC/ST) as stipulated in the ‘Academic Performance Indicator’ (API) based ‘Performance Based Appraisal System’ (PBAS) is required to be called for interview.
Assistant Professor (Agro-Meteorology)
Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics or Meteorology as the major subject OR Passed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Veterinary Science/Community Science/ Fisheries/ Forestry. Secured minimum 55% marks or MCGPA of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in Meteorology/Agricultural Meteorology from an Indian university or a foreign university. Qualified NET or NET waived for Ph.D. degree holders under specific UGC regulations with at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 5. Minimum score of 44 out of 80 for General & 40 out of 80 for SC/ST based on PBAS for interview call.
Assistant Professor (ABM)
Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Veterinary Science/ Community Science/ Fisheries/ Forestry/ Agricultural Engineering. Secured minimum 55% marks or MCGPA of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in Business Administration from an Indian university or a foreign university. OR MBA/PGDM from reputed institutions like IIM with two years working experience in reputed organization. Qualified NET (where applicable) or NET waived for Ph.D. degree holders under specific UGC regulations with at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 5. Minimum score of 44 out of 80 for General & 40 out of 80 for SC/ST based on PBAS for interview call.
Assistant Professor (Agril. Statistics)
Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Statistics as major subject OR Passed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Veterinary Science/Community Science/ Fisheries/ Forestry. Secured minimum 55% marks or MCGPA of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in Statistics/Agricultural Statistics from an Indian university or a foreign university. Qualified NET or NET waived for Ph.D. degree holders under specific UGC regulations with at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 5. Minimum score of 44 out of 80 for General & 40 out of 80 for SC/ST based on PBAS for interview call.
Assistant Professor (Computer Science)
Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Engineering/ Science with Computer Science as major subject. Secured minimum 55% marks or MCGPA of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Information & Communication Technology/ Computer Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Computer Science from an Indian university or a foreign university. Qualified NET or NET waived for Ph.D. degree holders under specific UGC regulations with at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 5. Minimum score of 44 out of 80 for General & 40 out of 80 for SC/ST based on PBAS for interview call.
Assistant Professor & equivalent (Food Science & Technology)
Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Science or equivalent degree relevant to the post. Secured minimum 55% marks or MCGPA of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in disciplines of Food Technology/Food Science & Technology/ Food Engineering/Dairy Technology/Post Harvest Technology/Agricultural Process Engineering or equivalent disciplines from an Indian university or a foreign university. Qualified NET or NET waived for Ph.D. degree holders under specific UGC regulations with at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 5. Minimum score of 44 out of 80 for General & 40 out of 80 for SC/ST based on PBAS for interview call.
