Domicile Eligibility
Only Indian Nationals who are domiciles of the following states/UTs may apply: Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
Passing Year & Other Conditions
- Candidates must have passed their degree/diploma/ITI in 2024 or after 2024.
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship, terminated it midway, or are currently pursuing apprenticeship elsewhere (or in AAI at the same qualification level) are not eligible.
- Candidates with 1 year or more of apprenticeship/job experience after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible, as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Important: A candidate applying for more than one discipline will not be considered, and such applications will be rejected.

Apprenticeship Training Locations
Apprentices will be posted at various Northern Region airports and AAI offices in New Delhi, including:
Adampur, Amritsar, Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Bhatinda, Bikaner, Chitrakoot, CATC–Prayagraj, Dehradun, Farukkhabad, Fursatganj, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Hindon, Hissar, Halwara/Ludhiana, Jammu, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kangra–Gaggal, Kanpur, Khajuraho, Kullu–Bhuntar, Kushinagar, Kishangarh, Kota, Lucknow, Leh, Moradabad, Muirpur, Meerut, Pantnagar, Pathankot, Pratapgarh, Pithoragarh, Prayagraj Airport, Safdarjung, Shravasti, Srinagar, Shimla, Udaipur, Varanasi, and various offices in New Delhi.
Important: The allocated Airport/Station/Unit is final; no change in place of training will be entertained at a later stage. Selected candidates will preferably be posted at locations based on their registration location on the portal.
AAI Apprentice Selection Process
Selection is merit-based, with no written examination. The process comprises:
- Provisional selection based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (CGPA converted to percentage per the concerned Board/University norms). In case of a tie, date of birth and thereafter date of passing determine seniority.
- Document Verification at the establishment office, intimated only through the candidate’s registered email ID.
- Interview / Certificate Verification, with candidature remaining provisional throughout.
- Medical Fitness Certificate (from a Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking only), to be submitted at the time of joining.
- Final selection and issuance of the apprentice engagement letter follow successful document verification and medical fitness clearance.
Note: Merely being shortlisted for document verification or the medical examination does not entitle a candidate to selection as an Apprentice. Reservation for SC/ST, OBC, and EWS is applicable; if candidates are unavailable in a reserved category, the seat will be filled from other reserved/general categories.
How to Apply for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27
Graduate / Diploma Apprentices – NATS 2.0 Portal
- Visit www.nats.education.gov.in and click the Student button, then select General Student (for Diploma/Graduate pass-outs).
- Click Student Registration and keep ready: a valid personal email, mobile number, Aadhaar number, qualifying/provisional certificate (PDF, under 1 MB), and APAAR ID.
- Verify your mobile number and email via OTP, then complete Aadhaar e-KYC verification.
- Fill the registration form (basic details auto-populate from UIDAI); add educational details and set a password, then submit.
- Verify your account via the email link sent to you, then log in and complete your profile: Basic Details, Educational Details (upload/fetch certificate via DigiLocker/APAAR), Communication Details, and Training Preferences.
- Preview your profile and submit it finally to receive your Student Enrolment ID.
- Search for establishment Airports Authority of India – RHQ NR, New Delhi (NDLSWC000002) and click Apply for the apprenticeship opportunity of your choice.
ITI Trade Apprentices – NAPS Portal
- Visit www.apprenticeshipindia.org and click Register, then select Candidate.
- Fill the Basic, Family, and Contact details in the registration form and submit.
- Activate your account via the link sent to your registered email, then log in with your Registration Number/Email and password.
- Click Complete Your Profile and add your “About Me” and contact details — this is mandatory before applying to any opportunity.
- Search for opportunities using establishment code E05200700101 (Airports Authority of India – RHQ NR) and click Apply.
- Track invitations, applications, and contracts from your candidate dashboard; if offered a contract, review the details and click Sign to accept.
Important: Only applications submitted through the registered NATS/NAPS portal will be considered. After a successful application, the portal will display: “Successfully applied for the training position. Based on availability, you will be contacted by the establishment.”
Important Conditions
- No Application Fee is charged for this recruitment.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending interviews or document verification.
- Candidates must sign and accept the Apprenticeship Contract on the NATS/NAPS portal immediately after joining AAI.
- The Apprenticeship Contract automatically ceases after the stipulated 12-month period; any act of indiscipline during training can lead to cancellation of the contract.
- During apprenticeship, candidates are governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended) and AAI’s applicable policies, rules, conduct, and discipline requirements.
- It is the candidate’s sole responsibility to get their profile verified from the respective Regional Board.
- AAI does not take responsibility for replying to candidates regarding non-selection or non-issuance of a call letter.
- Furnishing false or incorrect information at any stage renders the candidature/engagement liable to cancellation.
- Filling of seats is solely at Management’s discretion; no claim will be entertained if some seats remain unfilled.
- In case of any dispute, the English version of the notice and communication will be treated as valid.
- The decision of AAI Management on eligibility, acceptance/rejection of applications, mode of selection, or cancellation of the process is final and binding; no correspondence will be entertained.
